Your system administrator may have implemented a local policy on your computer to disable Task Manager. Be sure you have administrator right to open the task manager.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Tip

Add users to the administrative alerts list

The safer option is to use the Server Manager tool. Follow these steps:
  1. Go to Start | Programs | Administrative Tools | Server Manager.
  2. From the list of computers, double-click the name of the server for which you want to add users to the alerts list.
  3. In the Properties dialog box, click the Alerts button.
  4. Type the name of the user or computer you want to add in the New Computer Or Username text box, and click Add.
  5. Add additional names if necessary.
  6. Click OK, and exit Server Manager.

My system is very slow ? what ccan i do?

try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs then click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f this should schedule to happen on reboot which will scan for and attempt to recover bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive or
click startcontrol panel administrive tools, computer management ,disk management right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in both boxes then select check now, start should schedule this task when restart
do not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input will damage your computer
then you should test or replace all leads make sure they are securely seated and are not bad/faulty that are attached to your (((motherboard to your hard drive)))
defragment your hard drive will speed up your computer
then defragment your hard drive

scroll to the bottom toolbar (bottom of screen) right click you can select task manager applications also processes you will see whats running on your computer you might have virus slowing your computer also select users you will see who is using your computer
or you might need to add some more RAM random access memory

Desktop is unavailable no icon is there & no mouse click works

Hi,

On the same screen open the task manager by pressing ctrl+alt+del key on your keyboard and then from the task manager click on a new task button, then in the dialogue box type explorer.exe and hit enter key on your keyboard.

This should bring back your desktop and all your icons back to normal usage.

Problem getting netzero download to download computer says need to close i need to close explorer browser sites but none are open

Please note that I am using Windows XP so Vista may be slightly different but mostly similar.

Press Ctrl+Alt+Del and open the "Task Manager". Click "Processes" tab and check the box next to "Show processes from all users". Look for the file name of the web browser you are using and here are two common web browsers.

Microsoft Internet Explorer - iexplorer.exe (If you close explorer.exe by mistake, Windows XP users can go to "Applications", "New Task", and type in "C:/WINDOWS/explorer.exe" or Vista users can simply log out and log in through the task manager.)
Mozilla Firefox - firefox.exe

If you use a different web browser, right click the shortcut for your web browser and click "Properties". The file name will be after the last slash ( \ ) in the target box. File names usually end with ".exe".

Click the file name when you find it and click "End Process" but before you do, you are most likely viewing this with a web browser so this window (and all other windows for your web browser) will close as soon you end the proccess. This means make sure you finish what you are doing and be ready for it to close.
