Hello I bought 1 month ago lens 50mm 1.4 in usa, but now i am living in London. As I know there is international warranty on canon products not for body. But they told me I should pay fo that Labour: £50.00 plus VAT Parts: £35.09 plus VAT This estimate is for a replacement of barrel, track and scale, set up and recalibration, relubrication of the focus system and check and clean. The lens has received impact damage its Fixationuk.com so let me know if I have to pay or send it back to US?

You would still have to pay for the repairs in the US. Impact damage is not covered by the warranty. See this link. Paragraph (a) under exclusions states ". . damage due to . . . accident ..".

Hello I have a scratch on the lens on my canon g7.. I love the camera though and therefore I would prefer to have it replaced..is that possible? thanx

You should contact you local Canon support and have it fixed. Be warned though that it will be expensive, so check if you are still on warranty. If you are living in the U.S. you can apply here:

http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/online_repair_tracking/consumer/digital_cameras/powershot_g_series/powershot_g7?pageKeyCode=requestRepair

otherwise just look on the canon website for the service page for your country.
Let me know if you need further informations, bye

PCB? Are you referring to a Printed Circuit Board if so then you are right it's a warranty issue. If you have the receipt of purchase in the USA and have friends or family living in the USA you could send the camera to them to forward onto the USA Canon repair depot. Once repaired the camera would be returned to your friend or family who in tern would forward it back to you. Also if the Canon service in your country said it was the PCB without looking then it might be a known problem with this model. OR because it's an American market camera they don't want anything to do with it.

Ef 50mm f/1.8 II not auto focusing

You need to send it in for service. The more you use it with the "noise", the more you are potentially damaging the auto-focus drive mechanism of the lens. The sound you are hearing is most likely the gears and whatnot grinding away at each other because they were knocked out of place by the impact of the fall. I don't know how much this will cost, but I would say somewhere in the $200 range would not be unbelievable. Sorry I don't have any good news, but I have "bounced" a lens or two in my time.

Lens will not come off camera

Send it to www.flcamerarepair.com He has a lot of experience with Canons and is probably the most reasonable shop in the USA.

Canon SD 850 says lens error,

There could be a number of reasons for the lens error. ie. . sand in camera, impact damage etc. Typically the lens can be dissasembled and repaired by a competent camera repair technician. If you are certain that you did not damage the camera in any way I would send it back to canon for a warranty repair. If you however think you could have damaged it you are probably looking at around $100 to repair the camera. Hope this helps!

Blue line down the middle of the display screen

No there's no simple way to fix that problem. To correct it would require opening the camera, thus voiding your warranty. Take it back for exchange. If it's longer than Staples will honor, then contact Canon directly at 1-800-828-4040 or 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666). Here's your warranty:

Why do I get Error 99 in my Canon EOS 350 D?

1. Turn off the camera.
2. Remove the lens, battery, and CF card.
3. Allow the camera to sit without power for approximately 20 minutes.
4. Insert a fully charged battery, and turn on the camera.
5. Depress the shutter button as you would to take a picture.
Does the “ERR 99′ message appear? If it does, then the camera should be
serviced. If it does not, then please proceed to the next set of steps:
1. Turn off the camera.
2. Insert the CF card.
3. Turn on the camera.
4. Format the CF card in the camera.
5. Depress the shutter button as you would to take a picture.
Does the “ERR 99′ message appear? If so, then the CF card is the most
likely source of the issue. Try using a different card.
If the message does not appear, please complete the following steps:
1. Turn off the camera.
2. Clean the lens contacts by gently rubbing them with a pencil eraser
or soft cloth. Be careful that you do not let any debris fall into the
camera body.
3. Reattach your lens.
4. Turn on the camera.
5. Depress the shutter button as you would to take a picture.
If the “ERR 99′ message only appears when one particular lens is
attached, then that lens should be examined by a service technician.
If you see the “ERR 99′ with a different Canon lens attached, then the
camera should be serviced.
