  • debbiemedley Dec 07, 2008

I do not think it is fair that I would have to buy a product to get rid of myfreeze at no fault of my own!

We have recently had relatives over from NZ who have downloaded it would appear, MY FREEZE which is causing us mega probs. How can we get rid of this please??!!! Mnay thanks

MyFreeze is malware (adware/spyware etc.). MalwareBytes is a good anti malware program. You can get it for free here http://malwarebytes-uk.net/gb/. Try it.

If you are familiar with PCs and registry editing, a Google search for MyFreeze will get you various sites with ways of manually removing MyFreeze.

Help

http://www.fixya.com/support/t231952-computer_program_freeze_com
i downloaded a clip art program, yahoo is taking over my computer with a program called my.freeze.com, how can i remove this program. i tried to delete all free programs associated with the clip art download, but the yahoo my. freeze.com program is still there.

As posted on fixya, (see above) add and remove program will not fix it either.

I recommend to do a back-up. Save all your documents, pictures, and music.

Lastely, do a Reformat.
Good Luck.

How can I delete myfreeze from my computer? I downloaded SMPlayer and up poped MyFreeze. I can not uninstall it. I have tried many times but it will not go away.

I think you need to run an anti-virus scan. These goodies often show up in free-to-download programs. AVG has a free version of it's anti-virus program to download and seems to be fairly effective. If you have a high-speed connection, it doesn't take too long (about 35 MB). Good luck!

I cannot uninstall myfreeze.com from my computer

Go to the Control Panel>Add/Remove programs...remove any references to MyFreeze.

If there are any anti-spyware scanners installed on the computer; open one, then update it and run a scan. It should find and delete MyFreeze.com.

If you don't have one already installed, go to http://www.superantispyware.com to download, install, update and run their FREE scanner.

It's easier to follow the rules, then it is to erase the problems that you create when you break them :))

Computer program my.freeze.com

Freeze.com is a known producer of Spyware that downloads and installs along with all of their FREE programs and screensavers etc.
You need to install update and do all the tweaks on a recognised anti-spyware program.
If you have an anti-spyware program installed make sure it is NOT listed on 'The Spyware Warrior List of ‘Rogue/Suspect Anti-Spyware Products & Web Sites’
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm
Those are "anti-spyware programs" that install their OWN spyware, while 'supposedly' removing everything else.
Use instead "Ad-Aware 2007", "Spybot - Search & Destroy", "SpywareBlaster" are three good ones. Beware of imitations and name similarities. Install and update then run them weekly after doing the latest updates.
Lastly, to stay OFF of Weird and Strange websites!  ;>)
Install McAfee SiteAdvisor.
