You should find it in the BIOS, then just head to device configuration and you should be able to Enable/Disable it from there.

Turn wireless capability

There should be a button just above the minus key (to the right of the 9 key)that reads F12 which you can press in conjunction with the Fn key ( to the left of the Space Bar key). Doing this should either activate or deactivate the wireless networking on your laptop. White indicates that the wireless is On and Amber indicates it's Off. The touchpad can be deactivated. Try to hold the Fn key on your keyboard while you press F7 to activate it. There might also be a separate key to deactivate/activate touchpad.

Please open this LINK, scroll down to page no. 2-5 i.e. the section with "To use the Function Hot Keys Fn". There you'll find the details about the functional function keys of your compaq. It seems your function key i.e. Fn key is activated, to deactivate, press and hold down the Fn key while you tap the Numlock key once.

Let me know if you need further help.

How to switch wireless on

To activate and deactivate the wireless, you have to press and hold down the Fn key while you press the F2 once. If it's already activated, this will turn Off the wireless or if it's deactivated (Off) this will turn it On. This shortcut key is more or less the same on almost all the New Asus Laptops.
Good luck.

How to turn off blue keys for an Compaq mini cq10??

Hi,

if you are refering to the blue letters or alphabets which are present on the keyboard. HP designs keyboard with a billingual layout in some Notebook models.

The HP "Blue" keys are indeed the "French" input keys or other language keys.

How to use the Blue Symbols or keys on a HP Notebook:

We can activate them by pressing Ctrl+fn+right Shift. To deactivate, press Ctrl+fn+right Shift twice, i.e. Ctrl+fn+right Shift then let go off Shift while still holding Ctrl and fn, then press Shift again.

When you press Ctrl+Fn+Right Shift it will switch to the the billigual layout. That means the blue characters become prioritie.

For example, if you are in the billingual layout, when you press shift+6 you will get a '?' but not the '^' sign.
