It should be connected to a not morethan 60watts amplifiers or audio system so that it will not be damage or over driven. otherwise it burns your speakers..
note: you cant connect them all together because it will lower the resistance of the speaker.meaning it will also damage your amplifiers. EX. if you connect two 8ohms speakers in paralel it will become 4ohms.. so on & so fort...

Onkyo shorted speaker

Disconnect the speaker connections and switch ON the set. Set a multimeter to measure volts, and measure the voltage acorss the shorted speker terminals at amplifier end. There should not be any voltage at all. That is, the voltage measures at the speaker terminals must be approximately equal to Zero. If hter shows any voltage, make sure that the output amplifier to that side is shorted. never connect an other speaker, even for checking. It will also burn out.
Connect speaker to this channel, only after rectifying the fault, if any.

Lux Audio 5.1 home theater speaker & Yamaha HTR 5540 AMP

configure ur PC (both OS audio and third party sound driver) for surround sounds. control panel- sounds and audio devices - speaker settings - advanced - speker settings. so this done. make sure u select the 6 input channel - the button is on the right edge near the volume knob. near the vol button there are two buttons for selecting input type with up down arrow. from that u can select the input type this will be indicated on the top front indicator. but with the 6 input channel selected all selections are preceeded. if u select stereo mode u will have left/ right audio only.
make sure u connect the input right. connect from computer to 6 channel input. main, surround, center and sub-woofer.  connect the spekers to main (L/R), rear(surround) (L/R), center and sub woofer to terminal marked sub woofer ouput. this done select like i said before the 6 channel button. that should do it.

Can i have two 400 w spekers on sony DA5000ES?

Be very careful here.

If you put the speakers in parallel, the amp may well blow (4 ohm speakers in parallel would kill it at high volumes), and it may take the speakers with it.

I wouldn't try to extract more than the rated power from the amp. At it's rated output, it's seriously distorting, to a point where it becomes unlistenable. So, trying to ramp up the power further would only make it sound worse.

Putting the speakers in series is a safer route for your amp.

Very low output from the center speaker, cannot hear dialogue. I have checked all connections and tried a different center speaker.

also try turning up the level of your centre speaker in your Reciever setting, as well as make sure that the center speker is available thru your setup.

I did sound check and found not all speakers are working. The good news is that the protect mode has disappeared. Is it jast a matter of new speaker wire? This was caused by a lightening strike. Lost a lot...

One thing you can do is change the speakers around to the chanels that are working and check the speakers. If you had a lightning strike chances are that your amp was affected as well. This is just a quick check to see if your speakers are working.

I hope all is well.
