It should be connected to a not morethan 60watts amplifiers or audio system so that it will not be damage or over driven. otherwise it burns your speakers..
note: you cant connect them all together because it will lower the resistance of the speaker.meaning it will also damage your amplifiers. EX. if you connect two 8ohms speakers in paralel it will become 4ohms.. so on & so fort...

How to hook the 3490 to get 4 ohms

Hello
The output impedence of the amp is 8 Ohms. It can also be connected to a 4 Ohms speaker, but the reted output will be higher than specifed, and the sound quality will be reduced. You cant get an putput impedece to this amp by no means, as its' output is desigend to match 8 Ohms/channel. If you have only spekers with 4ohms impedence, connect two of the in serieal connection, so that, they together will reach a resultant impedence of 4Ohms. Similarly connect an other two spekers in series to the other channel too. OK.

Put new pa speakers in church 2 1000 watt tied 2gether and 2 300 watt. tied 2gether. the pa amp only has 250 watts with 6 mics connected and a cd player which plays fine. every time the mics are used if...

hi,
You have to check the ohms of the speakers all spekers should be 8 Ohms or above. if not it will overload the amplifier at high level. The minium ohms impedence of the amplifier is 4 ohms. If you connect two 8 ohms speakers together then the effective ohms will be 4 OHMS then the amp will handle the speakers. If you connect two 4 ohms spekers together then the effective ohms will be 2 Ohms, this will overload the amplifier. You will be able to connect two 8 ohms speaker to left channel or right channel of the amplifier. Check the speaker spesifiction to know its ohms. Make sure all the speakers have an impedence of 8 OHMS or above

Hi I have a marshall haze15w amp and stack, the problem seems to

There are many models of Marshal amps icluding 15Watt types.

First thing to try is to see if headphones have normal volume. If they do, then the headphone jack switch that connects the speaker is LIKELY bad.

If the headphones do not have any volume, LIKELY causes are:

1. Fried output power amp

2. Volume pot is broken or has bad solder joints to the circuit board.

your pre-amp output has failed.
it will require repair.
use your voltmeter and measure the voltage from the RCAs.... it should be approx. 2.5v
If nothing - it is in need of repair.

Constant load noise when i switch my amp on

IT SOUNDS LIKE SOME COMPONENTS OR "PARTS" IN YOUR AMP ARE NOT CONNECTED TO THE CIRCUIT BOARD.
WHEN THESE AMPS ARE MANUFACTURED, SOMETIMES NOT ENOGH SOLDER IS PUT ON THE JOINTS.VIBRATIONS AND HANDLING THE AMP ROUGHLY MAY LOOSEN THESE JOINTS.

WARNING: DISCONNECT THE AMP FROM THE AC ( WALL.)

OPEN UP THE AMP.... CAREFULLY
CAUTION :DO NOT BEND THE "LEGS" OF THE LM 1875 TRANSISTOR THEY BREAK EASILY.
PUT THE SCREWS,NUTS AND WASHERS IN A BAGGIE.

LOOK CLOSELY AT THE SOLDER JOINTS.
ESPECIALLY WHERE THE POTENTIOMETERS ARE SOLDERED TO THE CIRCUIT BOARD.

THERE ARE THREE SOLDER JOINTS ON EACH POTENTIOMETER.
WITH YOUR SOLDERING IRON.. FLOW SOME HOT SOLDER ONTO THESE JOINTS.
START WITH THE GAIN 1 ..GAIN 2..TREBLE ETC.

THIS MAY SOLVE THE PROBLEM.
IF NOT,,,, YOU MAY HAVE A BROKEN POTENTIOMETER.
OR ... A BLOWN TRANSISTOR... LM 1875 IT IS THE ONE MOUNTED TO THE HEAT SINK.

Bang & olufsen stereo unit 9300

You probably burned the speakers. If you have the multimeter check the spekers for the resistance. It has to be 4 or 8ohms otherwise they are burned. And you have to check voltage on the amp connectors for the spekers.if there is any DC voltage presens the amp is also burned
