sounds like defective RAM or RAM slot to me. How much memory do you have on your T23? It might be possible to remove the bad memory or switch the memory(if it's good) to the working memory slot (there are two in T23).

I would say it's not a bad problem and most likely you will not need to start saving for a new laptop. Perhaps only a new memory or simply switching the memory to the other slot will do.

I am not sure if I understand your problem correctly or not. How I am understanding this is that your dialup will not refresh or work on comcast's homepage. Thus not allowing you to logon to your email account. But your dialup will work on other parts of the net.

If this is the problem:
First, clear your internet cache. If that doesn't work, then try using a different browser. If you are using Internet Explorer, try using Firefox...it is free.

If your comcast account is not assessable from any computer, you need to call comcast tech support and see if there is a problem with your account.
