Hello, could you supply more information please? are the batteries inserted correctly? is there a Lcd screen? silly question but does it have a lens cap some aren't noticeable? try taking it off if it has one.
Make, age, and speifications would also be a great help,

I need to down load pic of my camra

Was there are cable came w. camera? Usually a mini usb cable... don't have to be the original cable as long as they are the same type of connectors. Connect the camera to pc w. cable and power up the camera.. that should start up Microsoft picture import or external storage. If it opens MS picture import follow the direction on the pop up window. If exteranl storage, open folder to view files, then select and copy paste to your pc. If all your pictures are saved on memory card, you could just pop the memory card out of camera and insert to mem. card reader in your pc or laptop and copy and paste or move them. this won't do anything or pictures save on cameras built in memory.

Digital camera question

Well not knowing what kind of operating system you have or camera I will give you general info. Did you install drivers for the camera? Did you see in say that new hardware has been installed and is ready to be used? If yes to these questions, go to the start menu, "my computer" and look for the name of you camera. "C" is usually your hard drive, "D" your cd-rom. If you see anything else that say's "storage device" or something to that nature, that should be your camera. Good luck.

Register proccess for free digital camera with hp laptop

It seems however illegal this is they put the ad out to sell laptops and have no intention of giving out the cameras. I hear a false adv. lawsuit coming. Here is the page where there are several people who registered and never got anything. I know this isn't much of a solution but maybe you can read more into this. I just ran out of time sorry.

Acer 5601AWMLi Orbicam is not working. Says camera is unplugged ( it is built in), tried a system restore, not solved anything. Not showing in Device Manager, altough it is showing in control panel and whn...

tell me about it, it seems to be an inherrent fault with this model, this sometimes works though.

swivel the camera around to face the rear of the notebook (making sure you turn it the right way) and turn it back again, now try to run the camera again, keep clicking the icon to start the cam and eventually it comes on.

Can't get my webcam to work

did you try the manual before posting here, you could also get a faster more accurate response by including details about the problem, operating system and what make camera as CheeseAvenger mentioned in the previous post, try plugging it in and making sure its on if it has a power-switch then install the included software if it has any, those are the step normally associated with getting any device to work, if the instructions don't work then there is a problem which you did not include any details that describe an actual problem beyond the fact that it's not working which could be a result of not following the instructions that came with the device. I'm not trying to sound condescending or anything like that, but I have noticed a trend on here to post questions with no details about the problem making them impossible to solve, if you don't thinks its important included it anyway, include anything you have already done or tried, anything that changed since it last worked, what operating system, do you have a software disk that came with it, did you loose it or was there not a disk in the first place, what kind of web-cam is in a logitech, Microsoft, dell, who makes it what does the manual say to do, did you try anything from the manufacturers website, did you have the camera or another one installed previously, there are a lot of factors when working on PC's if you leave one out it could be the problem.
