I would go to Menu-Picture and slide the "Saturation" or "Color" UP (if it has that kind of control)

hi, use the remote to check the colour system of the dvd and change it to auto, properbly its on secam or ntsc or pal.

Have you checked the NTSC/PAL setting of your DVD?

your not using progresive scan out are u change that back to regual

It sounds like the circuitry which actuates the color drives for the screen are not working, this would ba analogous to adjusting for a B&W picture on a color TV you have color but the screen shows black and white. I would get a schematic for this set and measure the voltages on the color processor that connects to the screen since you know that the external jack has color. If possible I can help you troubleshoot this, if you need me to help out.

Changing then power source is not going to help you ,you can call polaroid at 1-866-289-5168 and tell them the symptom,they should have an answer for you.
