Have you check all the Volume setting on you computer?
On the lower right side look for the computer Icon check if there is a red X on the speaker Icon, if there is then it can be that here is something wrong with the speaker driver or it does not detect the speakers.
If you do not see the speaker Icon then the Driver for the Audio card is not installed on the computer and you may need to re install that Audio Card Driver to be able to regain the audio from your Speakers.
Also the speakers should connect to the Green Audio Jack behind the computer, if it is then still no Audio you can try the Audio Jack in front of the computer as well to check the Audio Card in the Machine, if the front and back audio jacks do not detect nor produce sound when the speakers are connected then re installing the driver for the Audio card may work, unless during the installation an error shows that the there is no audio device detected then it means the Audio Card is busted.
Let us hope not since it is very seldom an Audio Card could go busted.
I hope this helps.
Have nice day,
If you suspect your sound card, I'd need to know the model and make of your computer. If you can find out what kind of computer it is, often the manufacturers website provides you with the downloads. What you would need is an audio driver.
Speakers don't need the drivers it will be the sound card - how did they get lost.
There are several find my drivers web sites that you coculd try on Google. Thet search your hardware and find the right drivers for you.
install your sound driver, on MY Computer right click then properties then device manager, check if your sound card is not yet installed, then find the cd driver that comes with your pc, after that install the driver of your sound card from the cd, if you lost the cd download cpu-z to determine your sound card then download it online, or to its respective manufacturer
To clarify things with your standard speakers do not have drivers.
If you are having trouble with no sound you would need drivers for your sound card. If you are not sure where to get the drivers let me know the make and model of your sound card. If you have a manufactured computer let me know the model you have so I can point you to the right drivers.
open the device manager and see if there is a yellow exclamation mark next to the sound ... if there is .. uninstall whats there and right click and scan for new hardware... if the driver is not found you will need to reinstall anew driver froom the Manufacturer ...
open the case and remove the sound card .. there should be a name like Creatve on it and it will have some sort of number /name to it
You dont need software for your speakers, you need software for your sound card. Should already be loaded on your computer unless someone added a sound card..Go to the card manufacture for the driver..
you need to download a copy of the driver from the manufacturer website,
1.open your computer and remove the sound card from the pci slot and check the manufacturer of the adapter
2.log on to their website with the model no or the release version of the card you can download the driver and install it to get your sound working again
