Question about HP Compaq Evo n610c Notebook

Out Put on Television

I have connected my EVO N610 with the Television got the Video Out put on it but Media Players videos are not appearing on the TV they Real Player videos are running as it is on the Laptop screen. Secondly, How will I be able to get the audio out put on the Television? I have only connected the Svideo Out put cable to Video In slot of my TV. Please advice.

First thing you have to change which monitor is the main monitor it can only play the video on one monitor at a time depending on your video settings. Secondly with audio you will need a 3.5mm to RCA/composite audio cable to get sound on your tv. Enjoy and please take a moment to rate my solution Fixya.

    listen the answer is this. screen resolution set to a incorrect setting or video driver installed is not compatible with the hardware in the lappy. what you do is this when you reboot the lappy press the F8 key until it give alist of options boot to safe mode uninstall video driver by going to device manager or reset display resolution in the display setting try the latter first then reboot.

    Turn it all the off. Then pull the hard drive out and put it back in again. Now, put your system disk (Win XP?) into the drive and turn the laptop on. It should do something else now. I have had this happen on several laptops I have rebuilt and it takes patience to get them started sometimes.... I have managed to load XP onto all of them eventually!

    Hdd lock on start up and never set a password help

    Your best bet in this case is to use a Live CD of a Linux distribution, like Ubuntu, that you can download from You put the CD in your drive and boot your computer from it and it gives you unfettered access to most peripherals connected to your computer. This should circumvent any kind of password prompt you're getting and, unless the drive is encrypted, you should be able to access your data.

    This problem look LCD cable problem. You might need to check the LCD cable conecctions to the Motherboard and to the LCD if it is lose or broken.

    You can connect an external monitor. If it displays, the video card is fine.
