No power suply

Do you mean what power supply to install inside of the computer? There is no power supply that plugs into the back of a desktop computer. If you are talking about what power plug goes into the back, Then any pc 3 slot female plug should work. The link below should give you an idea. If the link doesn't show, Then search for "computer power cords"

Tower seems to have no power yet the monitor and all other equipment work wireless connections also work?

most common, make sure that it is properly plugged in. The plug can sit in the back of the power suply but not be fully in.
The next step may be to replace your power supply (IF NEEDED - dont get scared yet)..
Also make sure that the computer may have a power supply in the back (where the power cable goes in) that has it's own power switch. This has to be on.

Auto shutdown

Usually this problem is caused by a thermal [overheating] condition. Best solution is to open the case and see if the cpu fan is working. If not replace with a new heatsink fan combo and make sure you use a quality thermal grease between the cpu & heatsink. Hope this helps & please rate this solution as fixya. Thanks.

Can i covert a acer L100 to a gameing councle and where do i do that thanks

Because the l100 is a mini computer that comes equipt with home basic, i would suggest against it. You realy dont have alot of space to work with, and a small power suply realy limits your options. The first step in making a gaming pc is to get a good video card, and you realy just dont have the space or power. If you want to make a gaming pc, start with a mid size case at minimum, that will give you the room for a good video card (maybe even sli), and a good power supply and cooling mechanism.

I have a dell dimension 3000 pc that i haven't used for a few weeks as i was waiting for an external hard drive to put all my music, videos etc on. I have just come to use the pc and it won't even turn on....

if the external hard drive is hook up to the main drive you might have to disconnect the exteranl hard drive and try another way to hook them up together . you did something wrong when you installed the externall drive. try it . and see if the original hard drive boots up. if this works you will have to change the boot sequence to use the external drive.
