    Thank You.
Jumpers from the motherboard "AUDIO1" should be put off and "AC'97" from the case put to "AUDIO1".

Hello here is the drivers site:

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/default.page?

Here is the user guide:

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/guides-and-manuals/default.page?selector=expand

The front panel connector ( F panel) looks like this:

This is located in the down right corner.

The usb connectors look like this:

In your another case, there should be connectors for front usb and audio, what it goes for should be printed in on the connector.
Basicly this can not be connected wrong.

Good luck

I have an Asus P5QL PRO Motherboard and I'm trying to connect the FP audio and I need some help on how to connect it up properly. On the heaphones lead I have 4 connectors: EAR R EAR L RETURN...

Hi

Pin arrangement for Front panel Audio is usually:

Pin 1 Left MIC-IN Pin 1 right GROUND
Pin 2 Left MIC VVC (or MIC Power, or MIC BIAS) Pin 2 Right empty
Pin 3 Left R EAR (or R OUT) Pin 3 Right R RETURN
Pin 4 Ground or Empty Pin 4 Right empty
Pin 5 Left L EAR (or L OUT) Pin 5 Right L RETURN

This arrangement should apply to both the HD AA/FP or the Standard AC'97 Headers.

I hope this helps

Manual reset motherboard: Soyo SY-K7VME

Bios settings are retained by the Motherboard Battery in the CMOS. Disconnecting the battery clears CMOS and returns the settings to their original state. Typically this can be done by simply removing the CMOS battery and waiting about 15 seconds before reinserting and booting PC. Nowadays most Motherboard manufacturers supply a jumper to not only disconnect the battery but also ground the CMOS to effectively drain any residual power.

The instructions for your MB are found below. JP5 is located to the left of the battery and next to the PCI 2 slot on your MB. There is a Manual for your MB on this site and the MB layout can be found at

http://www.fixya.com/support/p281070-soyo_sy_k7vme_motherboard/manual-35533/page-5

Follow the steps below to clear the CMOS memory.

1. Clear the CMOS memory by momentarily shorting pin 2-3 on jumper JP5. Its white cap can easily identify this jumper.

2. Put the jumper back to 1-2 to allow writing of new data into the CMOS memory.

I need to connect a new Antec 380d PSU to a A7v333 And connectors are different any suggestions?

The Antec 380D PS comes with an ATX 24-pin main power connector. If you look closely you'll see the extra 4-pin adapter is for motherboards that use all 24-pins. Your board needs only 20-pins. The extra 4-pin connector can be disconnected from the main cable & is not used.
Looking closely at the A7V333-X's main motherboard ATX power connector (On the board). The power connector has a locking tab on one side of the port. (This locking tab faces the memory).
This insures that you connect the power cable in one direction only. The Main power cable also has a locking tab attached to it and the two tabs lock together. See page 1-3, number 4.

Cheers!
Mike

The audio does not work

There should be a disable option in the bios on the motherboard setup, instead of doing the jumper.

Replacing a failed soyo MB. need to know what the various wiring colors are - power, restart, etc. SY-K7VME

Hello,

Are you sure this is not a SY-K7VEM? I did not see a VME.

Here is a link to the manual:

http://www.motherboards.org/files/manuals/107/mk7vem10.pdf

The Front Panel pinout can be seen on the motherboard layout on Page 5. Although this does not give wire colors, the small connectors should have abbreviated labels such as HDDLED or PWRLED.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Pluging in extra usb ports/Mic and headphone jacks from the tower

Answer me this. You're case is an Antec tower? The motherboard is the Asus P4P800 SE ? Is this correct?
If you have you're manual you can see what goes where on the board for front panel connector page. 2-31. (This diagram shows you how to connect the front mic & speaker).
To connect the Antec's front USB ports plug the case USB front connectors onto USB56 & USB78 shown on page. 2-30. Most case wires are already set within their USB connectors & the Antec's front USB connector should fit right on the mother board's pin's. If you need you're user manual, download from Asus by clicking on this link. http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?modelname=P4P800%20SE&SLanguage=en-us

Good Luck!
