If you could provide me with more info i may be able to help you. I need to know exactly what kind of video card you have. To find this out, right click on my computer and click properties. Then click on the hardware tab and then device manager. That will open the Device Manager window, where you need to click on the + that is next to Display adapters. Please comment with the video card that shows up under display adapters so that i can try and locate the drivers for you.

SOURCE: need help disableing onboard video, and installing PCIe video card.

Hi rebelel1271, I do have the manual for you're Intel motherboard. You can have it as well. Click on the link below to download you're manual. document.write("D101GGC Product Documentation & Manuals") D101GGC Product Documentation & Manuals
Intel states you do not need to make any bios changes when you add a PCI-Express video card. See this on page 17, PCI and PCI Express Auto Configuration. Before installing you're PCI-E video card, open windows controll panel. Than open add/remove programs. Look for the driver software for you're onboard ATI Radeon X200. Uninstall that software. (If listed). Close all opened windows & shut down windows. Unplug the power cord from the PC. Open the case. Install you're new ATI Radeon X800 PCI-E video card. Double check all internal connections, (In case you may have bumped loose any cables). You're X800 may also have a 3-pin or 4-pin male power connector built on the card. If so, plug power to the X800.

A little information. Once you're PCI-E has been installed. You're system memory will increase.

Good Luck!
If I can help you further, feel free to post here.

use your PCIE card to boot-up from CMOS, then check your onboard vga, try to configure it by 1st boot is your onboard, if that wont work then maybe your onboard vga was already damaged, better to use pcie video card rather than an onboard because it lets you consume the whole amount of your memory unlike the onboard card.. THanks

Chaintech P35-121-16B9 need the manual or video jumper setting

Hi

Thank you for your query

Generally you dont need to disable the onboard VGA to AGP, all you need to do is to ensure that you plug the monitor lead into the AGP VGA card.

However if you wish to disable the onbaord VGA then please do the following

1) Ensure that the monitor lead is plugged into the onboard VGA card/port
2) Siwitch on PC then press F12, esc or del key to enter detup (When switching on there will be a message that says press X to enter setup)
3) This will present you with a blue BIOS screen, if yuo go through the menu there will be a option that says 'onboard/integrated peripherals'
4) choose that option and there will be a further option 'onboard VGA' this will be set to enabled. Set this to disabled and then save and exit
5) Note at this point you will have to move the VGA cable from the monitor from the back of the VGA prot to the AGP VGA card

I hope this has been helpful

ok I found the problem was that someone ie the person that threw this unit away really did not know enough as they had used some of the ram to support the onboard video and it wasnt until i looked at the setups that i discovered this so set all back to default settings and was then able to turn off the onboard video and turn on the agp card hope this helps someone sometime apparently this was done to overclock the onboard video silly bloke just threw away a good computer ha ha ha

Motherboard startup problem!!

If your video is running off the card then remove the cable and plug it into onboard vga. Then remove the card from the slot. That should solve it then you will need to reinstall drivers for video card. If your monitor is running from onboard video then you will need to remove the card then try turning it on.

Asus a7s333 motherboard SiS745: onboard audio device not detected

1.) Check Device Manager for any "unknown" drivers, marked with a yellow exclamation point. If you find one that doesn't seem to belong to any of your other devices- you have your onboard. however, you may need to install the drivers for it.

2.) Check your BIOS. Some onboard cards have the ability to be enabled/disabled there.

Other than that, you could be looking at a dead card. All I can suggest if that's the case, to buy a new PCI soundcard to replace it.

Replacing the onboard graphics card

Friend,
There are three PCI slots on yoyr motherboard. You can add any PCI VGA card to your board. After adding the VGA goto BIOS setup and make ON BOARD VGA DISABLED.

Thanks & Good Luck

I can not finde free drivers for elitegroup Motherboard K7AMA

Hi Atom2008,

please visit www.driverguide.com, make the free registration and you will find the last bios version there. It's from April 2004, I've looked for it and found. you'll have much more there.

For VGA problems, only connecting anothe VGA card, instead of that one onboard, is the easiest way. The VGA drivers doesn't come separated from Bios Drivers to that motherboard.

I don't know what Operating System are you using, but if it is XP, I'll let you know that the motherboard is not ready for it anymore, concerning with VGA toghether... unfortunatly :-(

I believe if you install an AGP card the onboard VGA is supposed to be automatically disabled. Did you buy an AGP card?
