usually there is a way to install back to factory setting. Ctrl + Alt +suspend macro. Logitech may have this combination not sure what it might be. Look at suspend macro keys or remapping of keyboard fora solution from logitech. Otherwise you may have to take the batteries out and leave them out for a short time then try to reboot to the receiver and see if this works.

My keyboard is typing double letters. I have rebooted, changed batteries. But still typing double. reverted to usb keyboard for time being

I had this problem after changing the batteries in Logitech Cordless Internet Pro Keyboard - Model Y-RAJ56A, very frustrating.
I am using a KVM switch that only has PS2 outputs and one of the computers doesn't have PS2 connectors for both keyboard and mouse. This necessitated another mouse & receiver. Receiver will accept both mouse & keyboard but initial installation didn't include pairing the KB with the receiver, it
picked it up from the KVM.
When I changed the batteries in the keyboard I instinctively pushed the buttons to pair the receiver to the keyboard.
Wrong move!
Now the computer is receiving keyboard command from both the former 'mouse only' receiver & the KVM, creating ddoouubbllee letters. After pairing, they refused to be unpaired.
Solution was to go to Control Panel, in Device Management and disable Wireless Keyboard. Now it only receives keystrokes from the KVM.
Problem was solved.

Hope this helps, Plasticman69

Unable to log onto computer keyboard double spacing and double ch

Try a different keyboard, if a different keyboard works properly then your original one is defective. If another keybaord does the same thing then its a setting in the operating system for the keyboard that needs to be changed.

Is there an on/off switch on Logitech wireless keyboard. My keyboard will not type letters/numbers. Batteries are ok

No but, you might want to uninstall and reinstall the software that came with the keyboard. Your computer might be confused about which keyboard you are using.

My Logitech S510 keyboard is not typing all of the characters I key or repeats one character several times. It is as if there's a delay between keystrokes and what appears on the screen. Same thing happens...

Try running connect MANY times. it may sound goofy, but come to find out I had a new set of cordless phones which used similar freq's. so try to do connect several times.

Problem with LOGITECH S 510 cordless keyboard and mouse..

Hello,

I have this same keyboard/mouse set and love/hate it when the batteries die. After you change the batteies, power on your pc, press & hold the connect button on the bottem of the keyboard first and then the connect button on the transmitter. Release them and wait for a few seconds. Repeat the same steps for the mouse.

When I have connection issue with this keyboard after new batteries, I have found most of the time the problem is the connection to the pc and/or batteries in wrong. Good Luck

Keyboard won't type

The problem ended up not being with the connect buttons. I am assuming after I changed the battery in the keyboard it deleted the encryption code. I did the Ctrl-Alt-F12, THEN, the "connect". Put in the encryption codes and Hallelujah, the keyboard is working again. Almost pitched the darn thing and purchased new. Hope this helps someone else.

Keyboard changing key configuration

the key combination you mention is Left Alt + Left Shift.
It changes the keyboard layout to the next one in the listed of available keyboard layouts.
To configure the layouts, go to Control Panel -> Regional and language settings -> Languages tab -> Details
Under Installed services, the keyboard layouts that are currently installed are listed.
If you don't need to change (is needed if you want to type norwegian for example, since it has some special characters), you can simply remove all unnecessary layouts.
