Message tone and volume works together,so if you have your ring tone volume at the loudest level, the alert tone for messages will be at the loudest as well. If you want to adjust the volume follow these steps: go to settings --> personal --> profiles --> choose any profile that you want to be activated on your phone --> options --> personalized --> ringing volume --> choose from volume 1 to 5 as the loudest --> press ok then click back once --> options --> activate
You will have to get your cellphone repaired that is the only solution to fix this problem.IF it is under warranty then please get it replaced. You can try taking the phone apart if you want and clean and reattached the connections to the speaker in the phone.
Good luck, Please don't forget to rate the solution.

Do a battery pull by removing the battery, and make sure to give it time to completely boot up. If you are texting while you are receiving messages which is very common, sometimes it eliminates the sound while you are texting because it cannot render the sound while you are a sending a message. If thats not the case, then make sure to go to your sound settings and turn it completely up, if that doesn't work try to apply a different alert ringer for it.
what you do is you go to main menu then go to settings then sounds find alert sounds or somthing simular to alerts or messenging and select that option and set ringer volume and or ringtone hope that helps you
