Today my blackberry curve 8330 quit connecting to internet, Facebook, etc...it was working fine until about 4pm then nothing. I can get emails but cannot reply to them, and I can text without problem...but...

Please contact your opeartor (customer service), Ask them to re validate your email accounts and send service books (set of settings) to your handsset. I hope this is going to fix your issue.

Blackberry 8310 no service

First, please download and install the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager software from: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=DA5FB46338C8C0DCB1039F7898184FC5

Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device.

Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues.

If the issue is still present, then it could be hardware related, and may need to be repaired or replaced. I would then suggest contacting your Provider for Hardware Support.

Im tired of my ex calling me, and I would liket to only block that number from calling me and sending text messages.

From this link:
http://freeiphoner.com/blackberry-curve-question-blocking-numbers/

To block calls on your Curve: 1)In the phone, press the Menu key 2)Click Options 3)Click Call Barring 4)Highlight the call blocking option you want 5)Press the Menu key 6)Click Enable 7)Type your call blocking password. To stop blocking calls, highlight a call blocking option, click the Menu key and select Disable. Please note that call blocking is not associated with your device, but instead with your carrier and your SIM. You will need to contact your service provider to purchase/enable call blocking – they will provide you with a password for the set-up listed above (which, by the way, I lifted directly from my Curve – must give credit where it is due!). Hope this helps!

When I send a text message to a friend of mine, a different friend's name comes up. Why would this happen? How do I fix it? This is on a Blackberry Curve.

check to make sure the numbers have been saved correctly under you contacts, i ran into an issue like this before and it was because 2 different contacts had the same number saved. the msg would send to who you selected but the address book would select the first name that was present in alpha order for the number the msg was sent to.

For more assistance feel free to email support@ridarweck.com someone will respond to your email in a timely manner. Our site is down for redesign but email is still fully functional. Upon the return of our site we with be offering great blackberry downloads as well as 24/7 blackberry assistance.

Can't Access the Internet

send yourself an email with a web site link. Click the link in the body of the message, and hopefully a web browser application will open up and take you there.

also, from the desktop of the blackberry, press "alt' and 'select' (select on the jog dial). you will see a 'show all' option. The web browsing icon may be "hidden".

Lost information with no backup file

I'm sorry to say that it is likely completely gone.

I've never heard of a Blackberry recovery service. Perhaps send an email to RIM (Research In Motion) and ask? If your BB came from your company (as opposed to a personal plan) perhaps your IT department can help?

One other thought: If you are using the BB at work and it's hooked up to a Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) then at least your email, calendar and address data _might_ be stored on the server. Ask your IT department.
