Reconection of water

Hello- you responded to my question for removing the panel, i posted another question as to how to reconnect the water: thanks so much for your help! I copied my post here:
Thank you. I wish that I would have read this before I disconnected the water. the actuator has been fixed for a few days, but I got so frustrated with trying to reconnect the water to the panel, that I set it aside. Are there any tricks? I hope I do not have to end up calling someone out, JUST to reconnect the water. There does not seem to be enough "give" to put back. In the emantime, I have an "out of order sign" now on the door. Please help! Thanks!

Sorry, bout that thought i had answered that issued(pehaps for someone else), you can dissconnect the water supply from under the freezer door( quick disconnect fitting). this will allow you to pull extra line into the dispensor area, then simply push through the hole, re-attach the dispensor mech. then reconnect the lower connection

I am not getting the control board to light up. all lights work, ice machine works (mechanics) water valves open.

Hello Bob Patterson, thanks for your post!

From what you are describing it sounds like your control panel may need to be replaced within your Frigidaire refrigerator. Regrettably, this is not a simple DIY job. Many of these intricate part replacements do require precision and patience, therefore when replacing electrical components or removing them from your appliance, I would suggest seeking professional assistance. One must be very careful as there certain replacement parts could result in potential harm. Best regards. -Matt

After changing the water filter the water dispenser stopped working. How do I fix this problem?

Hello friend, thanks for your post!
Based off the information you have provided I would check to assure the panel is not locked, if it is hold down the lock icon to release the lockout feature. You should also remove the water filter and then install back maybe the connection was not fitting properly. Please comment back if those steps did not correct the problem. I look forward to helping you. -Matt

The drain tube is attached to a tray at the base of the evaporation coils on the rear wall of the freezer section. You gotta remove the access panel to find and clear the drain. I recently worked on a frigidaire model and made a crude video:

My KitchenAid KTRC22KK leaks below when hooking up to water line. The leak is not at the connection, but under the refrigerator. ???

Hello, You would have to pull the unit out away from the wall and remove the rear panel down the bottom that gives you access to the compressor area. You can see if the leak is coming from either one of the water lines or if the leak is coming from the compressor drain pan. The compressor drain pan is where the water that is defrosted off the evaporator coil goes down a hole with a tube attached to it into this drain pan in which the compressor fan in the unit is supposed to evaporate the water. Try removeing the rear panel on the inside back wall of the freezer couple 1/4" screws. This will give you access to the evaporator coil. If you see any ice build up on the evaporator or under the evaporator blocking the drain then your unit would be having a defrost issue. Message me back after you check for the defrost issue and also the compressor drain pan if these are clear then you would have to diagnose if your unit had water or ice going to the door both of these water lines. I await your reply Thanks Rick
p.s if your unit does have water going to the door also assure the connection that goes into the bottom of the door is not broken or cut as well I will look up your schematic when you respond if you need me to point out any areas of this repair

Water is leaking onto top shelves of unit

Hello, Thank You for using FixYa. I will be helping you today. Your drain line is most likley frozen. You need to remove the shelfs from the freezer and the bottom slide out panel. Remove the screws holding down the plastic bottom piece in the freezer then remove the back panel in the freezer. Remove any ice buildup you can. The drain is in the middle under the evaporator. DONT TOUCH the evaporator. Use boiling water and pour it in the back untill the drain runs free.
Thank You and please rate my answer if it was helpful..

that awaur is definalty apain in the rear to reconnect, i would first see that the wire is in correctly( should fold along normal lines to get proper orentation)check both end of connection, remove power first, so as not to blowe any circuitry,a small pieceof masking tape should hold the wire at either end to teh facade so as to minimalize the stress/flexing of ribbon wire. be sure to check the up[per wire harnesssa s well, perhaps you disconnected and never re attached

I resolved the problem on my Kenmore Elite model 106.55616400 by removing the drip tray, taking out two screws that hold the panel, and disconnecting and reconnecting the wires from the panel to the board. Unplugging the refrigerator did not work.

lift up & out on the drip tray (it will come out) after removing it you will see 3 screw. unscrew the screws & lift the face plate of the despenser & it will come off. Be careful though. There is a ribbon wire connected to the back of the face plate. make sure to dissconect the ribbon wire from the control board not the back of the face plate (its alot harder to reconnect to the face plate & pretty simle to reconnect to the control board).
