HI, I have a veriton 5900 pro and Phoenix awardBIOS v.6.00PG. I bought an intel e8400 and when I start up my computer the fans whirr then the computer shuts down. How can I fix this?

Hello here is the homepage:

http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=444

The cpu does not support the mainboard.
For many reasons: cache size, wrong front side bus size and so on.

The intel site is here:

http://ark.intel.com/products/33910/Intel-Core2-Duo-Processor-E8400-6M-Cache-3_00-GHz-1333-MHz-FSB

Your local acer dealer can support you in this matter what cpu to buy.

Good luck

Hi, you can take a look at this site:

http://uk.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3/M4A78LTM_LE/#CPUS

This is the cpu list that your mainboard supports.

Remember the ram module have to fit the cpu also.

Hope this will help you.

Replace the Ram and CD/Dvd Drive,Then Try to instal the os.Even no display found.

Then Problem with the Big VGA Chip.It Handled the Ram,Cpu,Video ,etc. That the chip is nearer to the CPU.Big Size.BGA Type. It must be serviced by the Chip level Service Engineer.

Prescott 800 dual channel d4b d4a cpu cant find

Hi Pipc1,

Please be more specific on what you are looking for. A bracket? There could be 10 different things on a motherboard that you may think are brackets, if your referring to the CPU fan bracket, go to the site that has that fan, or check eBay.

Thanks

Mark

Compatible AMD cpu

According to what I have found, this is an Intel Motherboard. You will not find an AMD chip to fit this. This is a socket 478 mobo. Heres the specs site: http://www.motherboard.cz/mb/matsonic/MS9367E.htm

Hi sandesh8, did you know you can increase the memory size of the onboard AGP card above the 64MB? Page 26 in you're manual. If you install another AGP card into the opened AGP slot, please go to this site & only use the recomended AGP cards in the Asrock list. Click on this link: http://www.asrock.com/mb/vga.asp?Model=P4i45GV%20R5.0&s=478&c=VGA
This is one of very few video cards found on the list with 256MB of video memory.

You also have a manual for the Biostar? Find the serial No# printed on the Mb. Usaully found on a white sticker found on the serial port. With the serial No# in hand look up your board on Biostar's web site. Download the manual. You will find what CPU's your MB can take.
