There have been a lot of problems with the Samsung sets, one dealer I know had so many complaints about the ones he sold he stopped selling them and switch to another brand and he has been trouble free ever since. To answer your question they have problems with the screens, color texture, lines, fade out to name a few, from what you have described you have at least two or three issues, considering the history I would replace it.

My monitors colors are fading cant read any white writing, not the first time this has happened, it will fix it self to perfect color then all of a suden lose reds and oranges, and fade colors

This is highly likely that a capacitor in the power supply is failing, a lot of people are having problems with them going bad. Samsung, reportedly, will fix it for $545 or thereabouts, but people are replacing the 4 1000uf caps in the power supply themselves, for $30. I've never done it myself, but they say after you get the back off, they're on the power supply board in the middle. Some people have replaced the whole board for $100 when they can get the boards, apparantly some are on backorder. The problem, of course, could be in other parts of the tv's circuits, but this seems to be a prevalent problem with Samsung. Hope this helps.

I would check your graphics card control panel. You may have (or someone else) set the contrast or some other setting to low or high. If you are using nvidia you can run the optimization wizard.

Your convergence Ic's have gone bad. Most likely a few small resistors with them. It's really not a job you should try and takle if you haven't done it before. Not a major deal for a svc co.

Fading and losing pictures

If your TV has more then 1500-2000 hours of usage chances are the power board is starting to fail due to the amount of heat that the parts are expose to when the TV is on. There seems to be a high failure rate on power supplies due to overheating.
The solution to get the TV working properly will be to have a new power board or repair the on inside your TV.
Let me know if you require further assistance.

Picture Fades

It isn't clear if the picture just loses color or the screen goes blank. If you are just losing color (picture goes to B/W) there is a problem in the color circuit and from your description it could easily be a bad solder connection on the board which decodes the color portion of the picture. If you are capable with a soldering iron and know TV HV safety, unplug the set, and remove the circuit boards and inspect (with a high powered magnifier)and resolder all suspect looking connections on the boards. You could also resolder all the connections which is more work but assures that solder joints are not the problem. If your problem is not solved at this point you are probably going to need a technician to look at it as it could be just about anything and probably would be beyond your expertise. Good luck and be safe.
