Cannot see full picture mitsubishi

I have a Mitsubishi WS65907; it does not display the full picture - the edges are cut off especially on the left side of the screen. The resolution seems OK, the full picture does not seem to be displayed.

Look for a button on the remote that says either P-Size, Aspect, View Mode, Zoom or Ratio. Press the button on the remote to change the size to Stretch, Full etc..

The DM board is the one with the digital connectors on the back panel. If you already have it appart, you may as well check the caps on all of the boards. The caps that go bad are typically Jamicon brand caps in 1000 uF and 330 uF values. There are also a couple of 3300 uF caps in the PS that cause problems.

SOURCE: Picture size decreases and increases with non uniform edges

Common problem. If its warped but stationary I would agree its most likely the convergence chips.

If however it shrinks/expands its most likely the opt chip. You can get a repair kit from www.magnavoxhelp.com for this common problem. Other symptoms may be no audio/video but this problem typicaly happens after you encounter the 1st problem ( shrinking/expanding video)

Mitsubishi ws-65907

I had the same problem with my WS65907. If you know a little about electronics and how to solder, you can fix this yourself. First you're going to have to carefully remove the PC board from the TV. There are four "pico" fuses located by the regulator. check the ohms across each one. I found two of mine were "open". I replaced them for $1.49 Ea.
