Question about Dell 922 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Dell 922 My DEll 922, 9WJG371, Printer Power light is on, but blank display, will not power down, nor when open center ink carts. power adapter shows 28.6 volts with a multimeter. Dell doesn't know if this value is correct! Dell says new PN for adapter is R4674 $11 US Is this the source of my problem? Thanks JJ

Yes I have cold started afew times already. I suspect the Adapter, because there is not much else there to swap out.

Have you unplugged it from the wall for a few minutes? That will flush the memory and give it a clean start. Below is some other info I found. My Dell All-In-One printer is not printing at all and the paper comes out blank. I need help.

Ensure that the printer power cable is firmly connected to the printer and the electrical outlet
Determine if the printer has been held or paused

Power button light is permanently on but printer is not working

Remove printer cable from pc. Remove power cord from printer. remove cartridge clean it and re-install. connect again it will work fine.

Print head problem

Do a reset:

Dell Printer reset

1. With the power on,unplug the power cord from the wall socket.
2. Disconnect the power supply from the back of the printer.
3. Wait 15 seconds.
4. Reconnect the power supply to the back of the printer.
Plug the power cord back into the wall socket.

Dell Printers

To run a nozzle clean, perform the following steps:
1. Verify the All-In-One Printer 922 is powered on and connected to a computer.
2. Verify that the paper support (input tray) has clean, plain white paper loaded.
3. Press the Menu button.
4. Press the Down button until Mode: Maintenance appears on the LCD screen.
5. Press the Menu button.
The Dell 922 Maintenance Menu appears on the LCD screen.

6. Press the Down button until Clean Cartridges appears on the LCD screen.
7. Press the Start button.
The AIO 922 prints the cleaning page. This process cleans the ink cartridges and resolves many print quality issues.

Hi martalyn,

I sorry to inform you that the situation you describe is an indicator of an internal power problem with the printer. This is not something a consumer can fix on his or her own. If your printer is under warranty, contact Dell - they will most likely replace it. If not, I'm afraid you'll have to buy a new printer (since the cost of fixing a printer far exceeds the cost of simply buying a new one).

I wish I could offer you better news - please let me know if your printer's symptoms change, or if I can be of any further assistance.

check to see if the ink cartridges are installed properly, or if there is a paper jam. If not unplug it for 2-3 minutes, and try using it again.

Dell 922 AIO printer~~ does not power on when press power button all cords are connected ~~ is there a power supply in the power cord that fails ??

I had a simalar problem. On the back of the printer where the power cord plugs in it is connected to a power adapter. The adapter was burnt out. the power adapter slides out. Mine was melted easy to see. I ordered one from dell. If you do order one from dell make sure they send you the correct part. They sent me the wrong part the first time. There customer service dept. ha gone way downhill.. Regards Frank

Changing language dell 922 printer

To change the language on the Dell 922's display, turn on the printer, then press and hold the Power and Cancel buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds. The language choices will then scroll across the LCD press the up or down arrow key till english appears, then click Menu.

No Power, Dell 922 Doesn't work

There might be a a second switch that you might have to turn on, if not, try plugging it in again and your wiring to the printer and PC.
