    no sound at all?

if you tap the tonearm with a screwdriver, can you hear that?

can you get other sounds through the same speakers?

Audio technica at 120 cartridge will fit my project essential?

Having looked at the turntable it seems to mount the cartridge with two bolt like fittings. The Cartridge you want has two mounts on the side that will take those bolts.
You will have to adjust the arm to compensate for the weight differences between the two cartridges, but once done it should play fine.

If Ortofon om 10 cartridge match for my str8-50 turntable?

That particular cartridge looks to me that it will fit the headshell of the turntable. So you can go ahead and buy it. I tend to look at the customer reviews of electrical items. If you get over 80 to 90% positive reviews for an item, then you should be okay with it.

Most cartridges will fit the headshells of turntables, the quality of them is largely a price issue, plus how fussed you are on the quality of the hi-fi sound of them. In the end it's a personal choice, since people's hearing is not the same.

Stanton t 60 turntable needle change

Well what's your purpose? Listening or dj'ing . For listening i prefer http://www.needledoctor.com/Ortofon-2M-Red-Phono-Cartridge?sc=9&category=-109 and for 50 dollar extra it comes complete on an om, which would be my choice, but is sounds nice,But clean first does records realllllll good. But tell me what are you really looning for, a lot depends on your mixer and speakers+ cables. Please don't buy the frozen cable--> bs which i may say with my phd. mi-elec. Most is really nonsens, but a lot is not! But your tt is too cheap for that..

WHEN I TRY TO USE ANY ORTOFON CARTRIDGE I GET FEEDBACK WHEN I PUT IT ON THE TONEARM BUT ON MY TECHNIC 1210 IT DOESNT HAPPEN BUT IF I USE ANY STANTON CARTRIDGE IT IS FINE? WHY WOULD THIS BE? ALSO THE...

I'd fix the tonearm issue first before using it to decide you have a feedback-related issue with one brand of cartridge. I can't say how that would be fixed.

Feedback? Like airborne sounds from the speakers vibrating the turntable and being amplified through the speakers? The biggest downside to old-school vinyl use is that possibility and the workarounds we had to use to prevent it. Acoustic and physical isolation are the only solutions.

Pioneer pl-200 turntable one channel is dull and muffled

I think we need to do more diagnosis. Did you try swapping the channel cables Left-to-Right so you're sure it is in the TT and not in your Phono preamp?
If it's still in the TT and always on the same channel with two different cartridges you probably have a wire problem in the tonearm/shell or interface between them.

Frequent sound

Hi,

Please re-check all your other equipment, as its highly unlikely to be the 2 turntables at fault, let me know how you got on.

Regards.

Turntable skips during playback

The only thing I can say is to make sure you set up your cartridges correctly - click HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS on BALANCING YOUR TONEARM properly.

If, you've balanced your tonearm, and set up your cartridges correctly, then you should not have any problems. Unless, your tonearms are damaged. But this is highly unlikely. I just think you need to balance properly.

Another note, Ortofon Concorde have a design flaw, in that they don't connect very well to the Technics tonearm. The Concorde's, have short and stubby connections on the rear, making for poor connections to the tonearm. Ortofon has addressed this issue by releasing the Ortofon OM series cartridges, and mount them to standard Technics Headshell.

If you still can't figure this out, feel free to give our techs a call 24/7 @ 1.866.668.1596 ext 1 - they can walk you through setting up, and properly testing your tonearm to see if it's damaged or not.
