I have a Sylvania 42 inch Plasma HD TV. It is 3

Hello

Before taking this to a local repair person, I suggest you check with your cable provider. See if they are having trouble with their HD transmission and then have them test your lines. Out here in Arizona with have constant problems with HD due to heat, rodents and poor installations. Your DVR only recorded the problems that were on your set. If these prove fruitless then take the TV to a reputable repair person.

Good Luck

Hi watching tv and it just switched off

first of all check out the tv power cord wire is it fine or seems like it got cut from some where or do you get any burning small from the wire.if this the case then repair that wire.if the wire is proper then try that wire in another electric outlet.if everything does not works.then is naturaLLY the internal board error.any of the capacitors or the ICs have gone short .the faulty 1 should be checked and replaced.

Panasonic 42 inch HD Plasma TV (2 years old) remote sensor

take your tv and remote to a technician to check on your emitting diode and a photo senser, both are working but not very sensitive. the components are not gone but about to go. if you remove a senser from tv it can not receive, so that senser is sensing some thing, also check an amplifier just after a senser plse do that.

Sounds like the Y-Buffer board, not the housekeeper sadly...

Most common part that goes bad...

Dell will charge you $1200 or so to just look at it...

Mine was 3 days out of warrenty.. Dell told me to go pound salt..

If you can find someone to look at it... Here's the part number that might be bad...

http://www.partstore.com/

Phone Number: 1-866-925-7278

PCB: LJ41-02760A - $84.36

And yes... Dell 42", Sanyo 42", Phillips 42" , and Samsung 42" Plasma's all use the same parts.

DELL 42" High Definition HD Plasma TV wi4201c hd

There are no real user serviceable parts in that TV. You could take it to a Repair shop and get an estimate for repair, but it is likely that you might end up getting a replacement for a lower cost. Most TV shops have a checkout fee ($25 to $75) generally. If the screen itself is not bad, then the repair cost shouldn't be too high (Logic board or such)
