I need to know if your pre fan comes on. It is located on top of your unit. If you hear a fan when you switch to heat then that is a good thing. Now I need to know if you have a pilot light or hot surface ignitor. You can take the top panel off and look down by your burners and see a pilot light. Lets see if we can find out what is going on. ken

Did you reset the furnace at breaker? If so what did it do? Did it give you a blinking led code? If so what does the code mean on your legend on furnace door?

Wiring Honeywell 9580 to old furnace with no C wire

This is not going to be easy. Check the wiring in the wall to look for the third wire. If they did not run one, you have to run new wire to the furnace and thermostat. If they stapled that wire to the walls inside studs, then it is going to be even harder to run the new wire. Once you run that new wire then you have to locate the connection in the furnace that has the common (c) wire for the transformer. Check you tube to see if the have any how to video.

Furnace will not light

If the inducer runs for a short time and shuts off and the main blower comes on and runs it could be a high limit switch or a roll out switch.it could also be a pressure switch that is stuck in the closed position. Most new furnaces have to read the pressure switch in the open position and then the closed position after the inducer fan starts. . Hope this helps.

If the thermostat is wired correctly, and matched to the type of heat you have ie electric, heat pump, boiler, forced air, gas or oil, the heat should run in either Fan ON or AUTO. Maybe you can explain your system a little more in depth...furnace type, M#, & thermostat brand w/ M#.

Hello my name is Heath it will be my pleasure to assit you. If you did not turn the power off to the furnace before rerplacing the thermostat then you may have burned out the board in the furnace. But first if there is a RH/Rc terminal in the new thermostat then try removing the jumper between the two and see if the thermostat will operate properly.

Furnace will run, put out heat, turn off and doesnt start again.

What is model # & serial # of this furnace, it may have a diagnosis led indicator light located on the control board, behind bottom door of furnace which will blink and tell you a fault code. Also check furnace filter, make sure its clean, check through out the house to see if all registers are open and not blocked by any objects, make sure cold air return grill is not blocked, the unit could be over heating and shutting off on high limit, good luck.

Furnace not firing up...thermostat said low battery ...installed new batteries. Green (LED) light indicating power to thermostat is off. Furnace still doesn't fire up.

1) Turn the fan to on and if it runs you know that you have line
voltage to furnace and 24volts to the thermostat.

2) You could turn the furnace off remove the doors and get to the
control board. If you can find the Thermostat wires on the board
mark and remove them. If you have a typical Furnace and you
have some electrical background put a jumper wire between
terminals R and W,put the doors back on-there is a door switch
that if the panel is not put back on-it will not run. Turn your power
back on.

3) The Blower motor may come on, the induced draft blower should
come on, the glow coil should glow, the gas valve open and the
burners should come on and the unit should run.

4) If all of this happens, then you have a thermostat problem or you
have bad thermostat wires.

5) If nothing happens then you don`t have power to the furnace or the
little fuse that protects the transformer is blown.

Good Luck
