This is a familiar problem with Ilo, ours came earlier when there was still an Ilo to call and the set was only 6 weeks old.
The problem is probably with the circuit also used for the IR remote; the set-top buttons and the remote both are processed through the same defective circuit.
Jimmy's parts may have what you need to get control over your set:
They seem to have an unusual quantity of Ilo parts and may have bought the leftovers out of bankruptcy.
Good luck - just remember WalMart when you start laying out cash for their junk.
Hi there! You may have had a power surge. Most of these panels are not fitted with a manual on/off switch which can protect it from spikes. If you switch it off using the remote, it is still in danger of getting damaged via the power source. I would personally start with the fuse. If this fails and you are not in the know how of repairing electronics then refer to a repairer. Beware of High Current!!! Unplug from mains and replace fuse carefully with the same rating and refrain from touching anything else as the main capacitor may still be charged. Stand back when you switch on, especially your face as a fuse may explode and send pieces of glass flying. Bset Wishes and Good Luck, JUS004
hello I was disconnected from our service? I own this TV My rating are very important to us and if there is any way that you could please remove the red mark. I never got a chance to push one keystroke.
I have the same issue. Here's a temporary solution, which is what I've been doing for the last couple of weeks, unplug the unit from the wall, just long enough for the red standby light to go out, then plug the unit back up. as soon that the red standby light comes on, press the on button the the remote or the unit. You may have to do this couple of time before it works. Somedays it works on the first try for me and then somedays I have to do it 3 to 4 time. I sure that at some point this will stop working too.
I have the same problem with mine. Screen was gray but I had sound. Nothing I tried worked. I bought a new TV and the Ilo is sitting in the junk room till I find a solution or get the ambition to take it to a shop to get checked out.
