Hei there, and welcome tu FixYa,

You have got a very good model Casio cash registry here, and yes, there is a fuse, that most likely is blown.

Unplug, remove the paper roll from the printer, turn it upside down, remove the screws, turn it downside up again, lift of the cover, follow the power cord til the power supply, in and in the area, you’ll find a fuse, - there is your problem.

DO NOT just put silver paper around it, you risk the whole thing will melt down if something like this happens again.

If that vas helpful, vote "FixYa" thank you

Come to think it over again,

    - you DON'T have to turn it up side down, as all the screws are on the cover top.

When less than a quarter feel the need to vote for the effort some of us at FixYou offer, I think to myself, ”is it worth it”.

They get help, and do not care to thank you; “thank you” do not cost a dime, so why????

    What metal plate is that?

The plate surrounding the power supply?

    - if that’s it, you need to remove that, as it is inside the power supply the fuse is situated.

Sorry, Bob, to hear, as I simply don´t know what else to tell you, other than - it IS a fuse, and its situated in the power supply area.

Return Sharp XE-A102 cash register to factory settings

MASTER RESET
Master reset: Clears all the memory and initializes each preset parameter. The master reset should be performed by using the following procedure.
1. Turn off the power (Power OFF). (See Note 1.)
2. Remove the memory back up battery from ECR.
3. Turn the mode switch to any position other than Power OFF.
4. Turn on the power (Power ON). (See Note 2.) When the master rest is completed, the buzzer sounds three times.
5. Install the memory back up batteries back into the ECR. The master reset can also be accomplished in the following case. (See Note 3.)
Note 1) Power OFF: Means disconnecting the AC power supply to the machine. (Specifically, unplugging the machine.)
Note 2) Power ON: Means connecting the AC power to the machine. (Specifically, plugging in the machine.)
Note 3) In case a power failure occurs when the machine has no battery installed, the master reset operation is automatically performed after the power has been restored.

Do I need a master key to reset my till

According to the user guide you can CLEAR RANDOM ACCESS MEMORY (RAM), by doing the following .

1) UNPLUG REGISTER

2)Turn the control lock to MC position with control key .

3)Connect the AC plug into power outlet WHILE pressing the C KEY .

4)When RAM is cleared of all MEMORY the register PRINTS a ROW of Cs .

DO THIS ONCE ONLY : hope this helps you.

Today my register is stop working all of sudden can you help me for that ?

Check there is power at the wall outlet. Check if the register has a removable power lead? Make sure it is inserted tightly into the register itself.

If those check out, look for a service centre for the make you have. It could be anything from the power supply unit to a failure of the main motherboard.

After installing new batteries it still shows on battery

ON battery, or NO battery? If ON, this could mean that the unit is not receiving power; check AC power (is unit plugged into a working outlet?), or possibly a fuse in the unit itself. If NO battery, check to make sure the batteries are good and proper polarity observed...good luck!

Is there a fuse or something that could make the machine have no power

Yes, some have a fuse on the power board. Others use a circuit breaker that resets after a bit. I would try a different power cord and if this has a separate power box, similar to a laptop, then it may be bad. Then there is the switch which may have fallen out of place behind the button. Since I have no idea which model, etc you are asking about I will have to be general in my assessment.

To over simplify; these days many of these power supplies use an electronic circuit that basically opens and closes the power circuit after diodes that are one way valves for current and so reduces voltage and changes ac to dc power. This circuit is not always as robust to power changes as one may wish. 120 volts AC being converted to 12 volts DC will generate some heat and with the reduction in size as well as cost... well, you may see where his is going.

Most problems are generally due to power as in there is a blown circuit breaker so no power to the outlet, plug on the cord is bad or poorly conducting due to loose fit. Once you are certain that you have power to the machine then you may want to get a tech in to repair this since you are not going to be able to replace any internal parts as an end user unless you have the proper education and tools.

Lastly if all else is okay a capacitor may be the problem. In fact there is a web site that was developed because of the amazing quantity of bad caps (capacitors) put onto the market. Here is that site;

{dont forget to fit the three backup bats }
when you power on and close the drawer it will lock
Z ing stuff in the manual says nothing a about the drawer
very strange

could even end up as a dead internal battery sometimes
mounted on the pcb lithium ion rechargable type

anyway good luck man
also check the no power drawer release slider on the base isnt set to half way or something daft

as i say Z is use before you normaly remove the drawer and power off
setting the float should be done in the morning
