My rca d52w19 52 inch shoots a 2 inch flame from the back,WTF
When i plug in tv it tries to turn on and then in the back of tv a 2 inch flame shoots out of some kind of plastic peice with a magnet on it the part reads, OREGA,10799630 and 40351A-5,. Conected to that part is two adjustment holes that read, focus, and screen.it also has a red and black wire attached to the part. It looks like the part is attached to some typ of mother board. I purchesed the tv at wallmart about two and ahalf years ago, it worked great until it did the fire thing. the sn# E-323c1118-b, chassis# itc222. P.S. on the top of the magnet their are #,s S5-19-2,. thanx.

There can be several causes for this, few of which you can do anything about. However, a few things to try.
1) Replace the batteries on your remote control. 2) Try resetting the logic functions on yourtvby unplugging it for a minute, then plugging it back in. 3) Try covering up the infra-red receptor on the front of your TV to see if you're getting unwanted signals from the receptor. taping a piece of foil over that area is perfect. If it doesn't stop after doing these two things you'll probably need to take it to a shop. 4) If this does stop it, then look for unexpected signal sources. Have you added a remote control extender? Added a new device to your audio-videosystem? Changed to a new remote?
Good luck with your problem...I hope you can work it out.
Your TV is overheating.. easiest remedy is to point a fan at the back of the TV or... clean the inside of the TV, Im sure its full of dust and stuff... this prevents air circulation inside the TV thus creating more heat...

You are likely to have a high voltage transformer bad which is common problem for ctc 195 RCA If you look into the back of the tv it is the white square looking thing about 3 inches across by 3 inches with the large red wire coming from it and going back into the set. Must have original RCA part and must be unsoldered and solder in new one. Not to be done by the untrained. Average cost to come out and repair is $250 to $300. depending on the repairman (Note: the chassis is in a complete wooded chipcore box that will come out with quarter inch nutdriver and unplug two plugs at the top of the box The box or chassis can be taken to the repair shop leaving the screen at your home saving a service call. Hope this helps
this is called the flyback. if your technicaly inclined yes solder experence a must. this is and rca tv. you possible can find rca replacement parts. Recently i noticed a price reduction of this Board just depends on the exact model number. You will have to replace the Horizontal output transistor which ussally bad when this happen
