Without getting too technical, it sounds like you may have an internal connection issue. Have you tried using external speakers with it? That might be ab easy fix.

We have a Panasonic PT-56wx53 projection TV that has a double image problem. We have tried to fix the issue with the convergence feature, but the blue color will not line up, red and yellow working fine. ...

Does this problem happen all the time ? What I mean is , if your watching the local news thru your cable/sat box does ot happen, or just when using aux imput. Either way, double image, or shadowing, is usually caused by a defective wire. Troubleshoot each unit, unplug everything and start from scratch.

Westinghouse HD Flat Screen 1080Pure TV - Shadows

Image burn can be permanent if the image was left on for a long period of time. You can try a pure white screen to balance the screen out. They sell DVDs online that have white screen and other screen correcting images to try an correct the damage done to your panel. here is one linked plasma or LCD both can burn.
best of luck

Sony KDF-50E2000 shuts down and blinks repeatedly twice.

The 2 blink error is a temperature error and the 6 blink error is a thermal fuse error. You may need to unplug the set and get you a can of canned air, take off the back lower cover and blow out all of the fans inside the set.

TV shut off will not stay on.

Sounds as though you have a video problem. It may be the convergence chips. The TV is shutting down do to a default in the circuit ( the set knows there is an error of somekind so it shuts down to protect itself). This is a problem that needs a pro trouble shooter since it could be in about any board. Sorry I couldn't help more
