Camera keeps coming up with card locekd how do I turn this off
Hi. The camera keeps coming up with a message saying card locked, this means I am unable to delete any photos, or take any more on the card. It only does this on the one card. Can someone tell me how to turn this function off, my camera type is a Canon IX65, if this helps.
Thanks from Brent

Switch on your mobile phone with a sim card from a network other than
the network you are currently with. If you are able to use the phone,
you can be sure that your phone is not locked. If your phone displays an
error message saying "Wrong sim" or "Incorrect sim" or "Emergency calls only", etc., then your phone is probably locked.
if your mobile is locekd to network unlock it using codes .to purchase the codes visit theunlockarena here they ask the country and the network anme to which your mobile is locekd then the imei number of your mobile .finally they will send you the codes to unlock your mobile.
Take the memory card out of the camera and look at it. SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.
Card protected usually means the slide switch on the side of the card is in the locked position. To get the card out of most cameras (since you didn't say what your camera is) you press in on the card and it pops out. Sometimes there is a button alongside the card slot that you push in to get the card to pop out.
Hi! There's a small switch on the memory card reader inside the camera which detects that the card is locked. Most likely this switch is broken. You can try to point it with needle or something but I'm afraid you will have to give it away for a repair to a local repair shop or Canon service center.
I'm not sure about your particular instance, but this can happen if you change up cameras or use a card reader.
As for being unable read the memory card, sometimes the card can be switched off by accident. Turn off the camera and remove the card. Look at the side of the card and there will be a little switch. One end says locked (or shows a little picture of a locked lock) and the other end says unlocked (or, shows a little picture of an unlocked lock). Just move the switch to unlocked.
Try that, and let me know with a comment if that doesn't work, othewise, thanks for coming to FixYa!
Hi there, My name is Rob and I can help you. Do this:
Make sure the camera is off and pull out the SD card. Look on the side of the card. You will see a little switch. One side says locked (or shows a little picture of a locked lock) the other side says unlocked (or shows a little picture of an unlocked lock). Make sure the switch is in the unlocked position and reinsert it properly into the camera.
This will fix your problem. Thanks for coming to FixYa. Let me know if I can be of anymore help. Don't forget to rate my answer a fixya!
Inside the camera is a memory card...remove the card and on the side of the card is a lock switch...slide switch to unlock and then place back in camera!
