Try defrosting the fridge first by switching it off completely and remove any food and leave doors open overnight. Sometimes if items are blocking the vents then the air doesn't circulate and ice builds up around the freezer and on the fans too which causes lack of cold air getting around especially when the air circulation goes to the refrigerator section too. If that fails then call technician.

Possible failed water inlet solenoid valve or frozen water inlet hose to the ice maker.

The ice maker uses one half of the=> WR57X10040 Water Inlet Valve so it is still possible that the WR57X10040 Water Inlet Valve

Clogged water filter or faulty water valve. You have a dual water valve on that unit which explains why the ice maker is working and not the dispenser.

i would ck the water valve . this is a dual valve in the back one side may have burned out and is not opening to let water in one side is for icemker and other for foutain . and also ck the water line inside freshfood see if its frozen. ( if themp is too cold in fresh food side it will freeze . should be about 38 deg .. hope this helps mm

check if dispender works. if it does check valve of make sure icemaker isnt turned off. id dispenser doesnt work check ur water filter, valve and water supply

I have a GE. Same 2 problems. I still have the ghost, but I fixed the water. There is a coiled up tubing inside the refrigerator behind the vegetable drawer. It was frozen. I took the drawer out and turned the rerigerator off and left the door open for about 4 hours while we watched tv. Tried to run the water with no success. Just about to give up when all of a sudden water flowed. It happened 1 more time, but not for about 6 months now.

There are a number of things that can go wrong, the solenoid valve for the icemaker could be bad, the icemaker module could be bad, or if it has a blinking red light on the right side of the freezer section, that electronic sensor could be defective, If you don't have a multi meter to check these problems, you should really call a certified tech.

the ice motor can be remove from a door just under the ice bin... two screws hold the door . four screws hold the motor in ...remove motor and check it may just be frozen. thaw it out check the seal at it may be let water drip down the shaft...
