Is asking for password when coms on forgot it

There is usually a jumper on the motherboard that you can remove to clear BIOS settings including password if the password is a request of the BIOS. If it is a Windows or other operating system that is asking for password you are probably going to have to reload operating system. Look on motherboard for small jumper with the word BIOS imprinted next to it. Make sure power is off, remove jumper and restart pc. When BIOS comes up do not set password protection. Shut pc down, replace jumper and your bios settings should be fine. Good luck

I had unplugged all leads from my pc,now it wont set up,and is asking me for a password

Is it the Operating System asking for a password or the bios asking for a password. If it is the bios, the only way to get rid of it is to remove the small lithium battery from the motherboard (it is in the shape and size of a quarter).Remove it for a few minutes and put it back in, that will get rid of the password.

(Emachines: intel pentium 4) Everytime i turn on my computer it requests for a system password, and im unable to use my restore cd.

That's known as a BIOS password. If you clear the BIOS, you can possibly avoid asking who set the password, but then you have to be able to set up the BIOS acceptably, about which you can google around for details. Asking around (to others who use the system, in case it's not just you) might let you know something new. Perhaps someone set it from within a utility rather than directly via the BIOS, and perhaps it's a soft error and entering '0' or '00000000' or 'password' or some such default password will avail.

Black enter password screen, but no password

I'm not sure if this will work but it may be that your system bios is asking for a password. If so, as you reboot the system, press F8 down until the system bios screen appears. Then page thru to see if the bios is asking for a system password. If so, you should be able to deactivate it thru the bios.

Hope this works.

System password error

This password thats its asking for is upon first boot I assume before windows even trys to load. If thats the case theres a jumper on the motherboard that lets you reset the bios/cmos killing out the password and setting it back to factory stardards. You will have to goto dell.com and hit up there support section for a manual on were exactly its located but this will fix your password issue.

Asking for admin password, first time installing do not have a password

if you're installing the windows you are simply being asked to provide a password for the administrator account.. if you're the one installing the operating system you're the administrator.. so give it a password of your choice.. make sure you're the only one that knows it...

Forgot password to log in to pc

Hi,
Please mention your problem clearly....
If its BIOS password (when system boots it will ask for password) then shutdown the system and remove the COMS battery for 2 minutes which is present in the one of the corner of the motherboard.
If its user password (asking the user name and password) then you need to install a fresh copy of windows xp. to install a windows xp, Insert the XP bootable cd into the CD-ROM. Restart the system. Then the system will boot from cd. If its not asking to boot from cd then you need to change the settings on BIOS menu. When system restarts keep-on pressing the DEL or F2 keys or both. then it will take you to BIOS setup. there change the boot priority. Select first boot device as CD/DVD ROM. After please click on the below link or copy the URL and paste it in your web browser. Follow the steps.

Thank you........
