Remote won't turn set on anymore!

Both remotes cannot be bad. Tv has an issue - have it repaired under warranty.

U might try completely disconnecting the set and then plugging it back in. If still will not work see if there is a reset button. If nada, have repaired.

I understand the problem you have is the remote not controlling the TV?
If so, set the remote to TV and hit a button. it should ask you Manufacture and give a list of codes. If this does not work, go to Directv.com and look up how ton program remote. Directions should be there. Or just google the question.

If set turns on with the power button on set the remote is : not set to TV, not programmed for the set, has bad batteries or is bad.

If it even works one function it may need to be reprogrammed or taken apart to see if works---you can test the remote by pointing it at a digital camera with a LCD screen and pressing buttons to see if it makes the screen flash on the camera.

First of all, you must ahve its original remote control to unlock FPA lock. If you have it, go through the folloing steps.
* Hold down Menu button on the remote control, and the Volume Down button on the at the same time for at least 4 seconds. "The set won't say so, but the lock will be released".
** Hold down Zero button on the remote control, and the Volume Down button on the TV. The set won't say so, but the lock will be released.
*** Hold down Menu button on the front of the TV and the TV button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be released.

buy a universal remote

Most probably a switching power supply problem. Have it checked by a qualified technician.
