If I were you I would just bet a new drive. They are less than 25 bucks for a DVD rewriteable burner. Here's an example.

you can either remove the drive from the tower, dismantle it and work out where the drive band goes then reassemble everything or just buy a new dvd drive for peanuts and simply replace it.

Is this LG optical drive supported on my Medion PC MT 7 PC?

It's hard to tell by the video, but the great thing about Optical drives is they are universal, unlike other hardware. Just verify connection IDE or SATA, and physical slot size in case.

Dvd rw disk slot canot be open

There is a very small hole in front panel.
Use needle or something equal equipment - just push and the drive will open - Works with all CD's and DVD's

If the drive reads correctly the problem is a broken rubber band, which opens the slot.

The tray is stuck inside of the player, but it dosen't come out

There Should be a Pin Hole infront of your optical Drive if you poke it with a needle long enough to push the gear, it should eject the tray. assuming something is stick inside, it may release what ever is stuck in there but if the issue still happens then probably the gears aren't working properly anymore and may need replacing the optical drive / player

This happend to me once, I opend my optical drive myself and found out that some of my gears are broken.

from what it sounds like.... its a gear problem. see, inside your dvd drive, there are a set of gears, and a little "rubber band" that opens and closes the dvd drive. either A). a gear has stripped itself(or broken) or b.) that "rubber band" has broke, and has gotten itself stuck(probably in the gears). Good luck, and i hope that it wasn't an important disk.

Hi

Issue is most likely a broken cable? between the motor and a gear that transfers the movement of the motor to the tray.

So you would have to take the cd drive apart and possibly replace the rubber band? like cable.

CD Rom drawers do not open or close, drive belts have popped out

Unfortunatly, these belts are not availible for consumer purchase and, most service centers will just replace the entire device. i have used regular rubber bands that are identical in size to run many rom drives. this method seems to work just fine.

Its very unfortunate when these original belts break and, there is no replacment belt on the market. the only option is to purchae a store bought rubber band that matches the same size as the broken original band. this will work.

Can't open optical drive for HP Pavilion Slimline s3620

there should be a little tiny hole on the drive where you can use a paper clip to eject it

once ejected you should be able to see if there are any cogs / bands broken or damaged and if so thats why it wont open normally.

Also is this a laptop or desktop machine ?

LG DVD drive stopped reading DVD's

Try re-installing the drivers. If that doesn't help get a new drive. Optical drives are one of the first things to break in a computer. Of course make sure everything is connected properly.
