Crackling Audio Everytime I listen to music or watch a video the sound starts to crack and goes in slow motion, for a couple of seconds. But if I pause and unpause what ever that is playing, it goes back to playing smoothly

Is there any other programs running in the background IE Anti-Virus programs, or anything that could be using quite alot of Memory other the stuff your watching?
It could be either down to Lack of Memory being allocated to the Audio & Video (Probably the case if the machine has built in Shared Sound & Video Card). Try opening Task Manager and setting the Application that you use to play Music/Movies to High Priority.
If it's not that try lowering the Master Volume on the Mixer Device by going into the Volume Properties in the Task Tray (By the Clock).

Sennheiser HD 205 crackle when listening to music

If the crackling occurs only when opening windows or another program, the crackling is not due to the headphones but to a lack of CPU resources in your computer settings.
If you are in Windows 7,
  1. click the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33_818.jpg, and then click Control Panel. In the search box, type Performance Information and Tools, and then, in the list of results, click Performance Information and Tools.
  2. Click Adjust visual effects. 18abb370-ac1e-4b6b-b663-e028a75bf05b_48.jpg If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  3. Click the Visual Effects tab, click Adjust for best performance, and then click OK.

Lagging audio acer aspire one

Sounds like the machine is getting bogged down. Download an app called CCleaner and check out everything that's starting when you start your computer. Aspire one's have a pretty small processor and graphics chip so you don't want to overburden it if you don't have too.

Download it from here:
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

Then install it and select "Tools" on the left side.
Then select the "Start Up" tab just to the right of that.
Examine the list to see everything that's starting when windows starts. Disable everything that is non-essential and see if that helps.

Also, check to see if your graphics driver needs to be updated.

Good Luck!

My mackie thump amp will start to have a loud cracking sound. The cracking goes away if I have the input line unplugged from the speaker but with it plugged in it has the cracking sound and it does not...

Crackling is usally one or two things my guess would be bad grounding of the amp or bad connection with the jacks or plug it self try to make it crackle on purpose by jiggling the jacks see if it has any effect on the crackling try to narrow your possibilitys

Intermittent crackling sounds DPR 1005

This is an obvious thermal problem. Use circuit cooler to isolate the bad part. It could also be a crack in a circuit board.

Alternate warming with hair dryer and cooling one component at a time while listening for the noise.

There is a crackling sound after I record.

The problem was the VIA chipset firewire card. I changed it with a Texas Instruments one. Works perfectly now.
