My tv is now saying "no signal" i was out of otwn for a few weeks and this is what had happened while I was gone. The dish network says it is not their issue that we are unable to get to cable...

If the TV needs to be on channel 73 [TV tuner] for the dish to work then do a channel serch in the tv's menu.
If you had a power outage when you were gone the TV will need this scan done.

Most sattelites use the inputs not the tuner. make sure your on the right input channel,

This set isn't capable of going over 68, this is all it's programmed for. You will need to get a channel box that overrides the tv's programming in order to add the channel 73.

I bought a new TV for my #2, but is says I'm not getting a signal when I hook it up to the cable. I have it on channel 60

You can go to TV 1 to make sure TV 2 is suppose to be set to channel 60. Did you run the auto setup on your TV? If you have already run the auto setup on your TV, unplug the receiver from the electrical outlet for 10 seconds and then plug it back in. This will make the receiver reboot and re-acquire satellite signal. Then see if you get a picture on your TV 2. If not, the last thing you can try is changing the channel from 60 to 73 through the receiver.

With your DISH remote at TV 1, press the Menu button - Main Menu will display on the TV 1. Then press 6 (System Setup), 1 (Installation), and 5 (Modulator Setup). On the Modulator Setup screen, move over to TV 2 Out and select Cable, then press select on the remote. This will automatically change the channel from 60 to 73. Highlight Done on the right and press select. Cancel out of each screen till you get back to the TV screen. Go to TV 2 and put the TV on channel 73. You should get a picture. I hope this helps.

Need to change channel to 73 so my dish tv will work, it seems the highest channel tv set will go is 69

We would be happy to help with that. Some TV's do not havethe ability to go as high as channel 73; this may be the case for your (enterbrand here). We would recommend changing the channel that your DISH Networkreceiver outputs the picture for your TV2. Start by pressing the"Menu" button, from the main menu press 6 for "SystemSetup", then 1 for "Installation", and then 5 for"Modulator Setup". Under TV2 we are going to change the mode to"Air", the channel displayed beside it should change to 60, selectdone on the right side of the screen to save the changes. Now change thechannel of your TV2 to 60 and you should get the DISH Network programming. Wehope this helps. Thanks so much for being a valued DISH Network customer! In the menu on the TV there will be a section for channels. There you can add or delete existing channels. Or you can just push the 7 and 3 button ion the remote then hit enter and it should go right to the Channel.

I accidently changed the channel that I receive satalite tv on, dishnetwork can't solve the problem. TV will not take more than one number & dish tells me the channel should be 60 or 73 help

Is this a tv2 off of the primary reciver from another room?

If so there is a 2 step process to help you fox this.

Generally yes it is 60 or 73 but some installers do change it.

If it is on 60 The it will be on 60 AIR not 60 CABLE , if it is on 73 then is will be on 73 CABLE not 73 AIR..

To simplify this for you go into your tv's menu and select your air/cable type to air and have the tv do a channel scan. once complete use your remote and go up and down the channels in air mode it may find more than one. check and see if any of them are your dish box. If not then go back into the tv menu and select your air/cable setting to cable and repeat a channel scan. again once complete use the tv remote to go up and down channels untill you locate your dish box. If you do both of these and still do not have your signal verify that there is no VCR or DVD player "ON" at that location. They can be hooked up, just not on. Also some tv's have an antenna A and antenna B on the back of them , if your does make sure you test with both antenna connections. If you go thru all of this and still cannot get a signal then a line may have gotten cut or dissconnected and they need to send a tech out.

Our power went out last night and I cannot get the tv set back to channel 73 which is the channel set for our DISH network. It only goes to 69 then starts over at Vid 1 and Vid 2.

Channel # 73 may have been deprogrammed from your TV's memory. Follow the instructions in your manual to add the channel back in.

I have a Samsung 27" TV and need to set it on channel 73 to get a picture from my Satelite Dish. The highest channel the tv goes to is 69.

Set the TV to cable tuning mode and use that channel 73. You have it set for air now so it can only tune to channel 69.

Settting tv to a higher channel for cable`

Most TVs have a choice of air or cable in the menu portion of the tv. press menu go to setup and from there you should see an option that says air/antenna or cable. You will have to either toggle to get the air selection or highlight it. Then you should be able to get to channels you need.

An easier solution may be to go to the Dish receiver that controls the image on the tv you can't get to 73. With tv and satellite on (make sure both green and blue lights are on) press on your Dish remote #1 with the green tab on the bottom the following sequence: MENU - 6-1-5. tHIS WILL TAKE YOU TO THE MODULATOR SET UP PAGE. Move the highlight from cancel to the mode section an highlight AIR and press select. Then move the highlight back to the right to DONE and press select. Press cancel three times or view live tv. then go to the other tv and put it on ch 60.
Hope this assists you.
