I have no sound on my laptop


helo latinbutt571clic on Start, and chose exécute in this box type devmgmt.msc and press ok the device manager will open clic on the Audio Video game section in there right clic on every icon and chose uninstall once there is no more close all the box and restart the computer upon restart Windows will détect your audio cart and reinstall the drivers for it

Please provide me step by step instruction about the installation of a headset to my PC. My mouthpiece does not work due to installment problem but the speakers work well. Thank you. I look forward to...



the headset should have 2 plugs one green one red they usually plug into the back of the computer with the speaker plug in the middle you could alternate these also make sure the microphone settings are correct
click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it or select audio from the microphone drop down list make sure you have the right one selected and in the volume box make sure the microphone box has a tick in it or select the voice tab and make sure that you have the right media selected also select volume make sure the box for microphone has a tick in it

There is no sound coming out of my speakers but everything is plugged in correctly


control panel sounds and audio,volume you can adjust the volume or advanced,speakers select appropriate speakers or
audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have selected the right speakers or
control panel,administrive tools,computer management,device manager scroll to sound,video and game cotrollers could be a yellow question mark? right click to re-install drivers

Hi, these instructions will help you with the Audio problem. These are the steps to setup and 'restore' theAudio Drivers Part (1) Click on the "Start" button, go to and click in the (right, pane) Control Panel.
Scroll to find Hardware and Sound, open the program an select, Audio Devices, and Sound Themes” selct “Playback” click on the Active "Speakers.” to open Configure to: Audio channels. The Speaker Setup "wizard help you with the instructions to fix the sound. Select (Test) click, Next! Part (2) Click 'Properties' and change the "sound"(Level). You can also make adjustments using the Enhancements option. “The (Advanced), “I do not recommended!” Next, in the Controller Information (block), open the Properties Icon to "update" Drivers. Check to see if Device usage: is (enable) if not? Enable it. *Note: Click "Apply, OK, and Save when finished. Restart the computer to finalize the changes. Need to download mobo sound driver off net and re-install.

Install mobo driver first.

To ID the mobo download / install free CPU-Z and run it will ID all hardware.

I am not able to install audio driver in my laptop compaq preserio c733tu

Presario C733TU is an entry level laptop from HP-Compaq. It is an Intel Celeron based machine. It comes with Intel Celeron-M(1.73 GHz) processor, 512MB DDR2 RAM, 80GB SATA Hard Disk, DVD Super-Multi burner, 15.4" Widescreen Display,Wi-Fi, Modem, 1.3 MP webcam and many more. Here we have given links to various driver of this laptop for Windows XP.

Click or copy and paste the given links to a new browser to download the drivers.
This model of Presario has an audio controller that supports the high definition audio. You need to have Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio installed on the computer before installing the audio driver.
Here is the link for the Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture Driver that need to be installed before installing the Audio Driver:

6. Click Next and then click Have Disk.
7. Click Browse C:\swsetup\sp36408 folder and the double click the V32 folder. Select the .inf file, click open and Continue with the onscreen instructions.

I want to record myself reading a story and put it on a cd to send to my grandchildren


You can use FREE Hi-Q Recorder is a free software for recording sound in multiple formats. of course, the sound recording you will need a microphone connected to your computer. You must also remember to choose the format in which the sound will be played back the recording (audio cd or mp3) in mp3 format for older players may not play (audio cd will play in 100% of equipment)

Last day I did uninstall my sound device


You need to install driver for your soundcard. Usually it is on manufacturer CD or you can search the driver on google. Also search for your mainboard drivers. There must be your soundcard driver.
