Question about Panasonic KX-TG1033S Cordless Phone
My caller ID seldom works on my brand new Panasonic system. I pluged the base unit directly into my incomming phone jack bypassing all interrior phone lines and same results. All GE phones and my two Dish Network boxes never miss displaying incomming ID's, but the Panasonic seldom works. I tried resetting the Panasonic base and phones by removing power and batteries, no luck. No matter where I plug in the Panasonic, I get very few caller ID,s. The phone just says "Incomming Call". I have called our telephone provider and they say the incomming phone lines are good. I even went out and exchanged the Panasonic system, and the new one is the same as the old one. I do not use DSL or FAX. Would a filter maybe help if my lines are noisy? Any other ideas?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

All Panasonic display phones, both analog and digital 7xxx series phones support CID. It requires 5 or 6 program adjustments as outlined in the manual. With luck, you may be able to just turn it on in 406, but your area code needs to be set if you have 7 digit local dialing, you need to tell the system if you want CID to adjust the clock daily, SMDR display, etc.
The 1232_PG lists all the steps. If you don't have a manual, you really need to get one. Post back and we'll see what we can do.

Is the phone FCC approved for use in the US? Does the model purchased in Singapore use the same Caller ID algorithm as US phones? Have you tested a known good caller ID capable phone at your location to make absolutely sure the caller ID is actually turned on?

Tips for a great answer:
This feature lets you know who is calling
without looking at the display.
To use this feature, you must:
- subscribe to a Caller ID service of
your service provider/telephone
- turn this feature on (page 24).
When caller information is received, the
handsets and base unit announce the
caller's name or phone number received
from your service provider/telephone
company following every ring.
The unit announces in English only.
L Name pronunciation may vary. This
feature may not pronounce all names
L Caller ID service has a limit of how
many characters can be displayed. If
the caller's name is too long, the
handset may not be able to display or
announce the entire name.
L The announcement is heard at the
same level as the ringer volume (page
L If you turn on the answering system
and set the number of rings "2
rings" (page 36), the unit does not
announce the caller information. If
"Toll saver" is selected and there
is a new message, the unit does not
announce the caller information.
