I have the same problem, after clearing the filter, I can not reset the filter timer to 0. Could the Hitachi CP-X28 service centre help to provide solution? Thanks!

I have the same problem with the Hitachi CP S210. It is telling me that I need to reset the filter timer. Are the directions that you gave the same for the projector that I have? I am not able to check it at this time or I would just see for myself. Hope that you can help. Thanks.

Reset the filter timer. (1) Turn on the projector. While the projector running, press the MENU button to open the menu. (2) Choose the “OPTION” on the menu using the up/down button, then press the right button or ENTER button. (3) Choose the “FILTER TIME” using the up/down button, then press and hold the right button of projector or the RESET button of remote control for 3 seconds. (4) Choose the “RESET” using the up button.

Go to Advanced Menu, then Options menu. Go to Filter time and hold the reset button for 3 seconds. This will bring up a sub menu and use the up arrow to reset. Page 37 of the user manual

My data projector eiki LC-Xb23 goes off without warning and the warning light is flashing

If the power light & warning light both flash red, this indicates that the projector is overheating. Once the projector has cooled down the warning light would continue to flash red and the power light would be solid red.

You should clean the air filters.

The filters are located on the underside. Disconnect all cables and invert. remove the 2 air filters located at the front and rear by pullingthe latches. They are both rectangular in shape.

Being very careful not to damage them, you should rinse the dust out and leave them to dry fully before replacing them in the projector.

This should cure the problem.

Time to clean the air filters. See manual how to clean air filters and reset the filter cleaning counter in the device.

I have a Sanyo PLV-Z2000 projector. The screen had a filter warning and we cleaned the filter, but now the screen is just blue and won't omit any image. It worked to reset the filter timer before, but...

the excessive heat and lack of airflow may have caused another problem. can you get into the menu? if you can, try resetting the settings to factory default.

EIKI XB23 PROJECTOR WON'T GO ON

Do you hear the fan start up? or does the projector lamp come on (you start to see an image)?

If yes to either:

When the temperature inside the projector reaches a
certain level, the projector will be automatically shut down
to protect the inside of the projector. The POWER indicator
is blinking while the projector is being cooled down. When
the projector has cooled down sufficiently (to its normal
operating temperature), it can be turned on again by
pressing the POWER ON-OFF button.

Note:
After the temperature inside the projector returns to normal, the
WARNING indicator still continues to blink. When the projector is
turned on again, the WARNING indicator stops blinking.

Then check the matters below:
– Did you provide appropriate space for the projector to be
ventilated? Check the installing condition to see if
ventilation slots are not blocked.
– Is the projector not installed near the ventilation duct of
air-conditioning equipment which may be hot? Install the
projector away from the ventilation duct of airconditioning
equipment.
– Are the air filters clean? Clean the air filters periodically. Let me know if you need to know how to do this.

If no to either:

When the projector detects an abnormal condition, it is
automatically shut down to protect the inside and the
WARNING indicator will be red. In this case, disconnect the
AC power cord and reconnect it, and then turn the projector
on once again for check. If the projector cannot be turned
on and the WARNING indicator emits a red light, disconnect
the AC power cord and contact the service station for check
and repair.

Please let me know if this helped solve the problem. If not, is there anything else you observed - whether or not you believe it's relevant.

The clean your filter warning sign comes up and then shuts the projector down in 1 min. I have changed the lamp and filter. How do i reset the timer for the Lamp Hours and get rid of the warning?

Once the filter is replaced, plug the projector back in and make sure the projector is in standby mode.  Point the remote control at the projector and press the following buttons in order in less than 3 seconds: reset, ←, →, enter.  This worked for me.  Good luck.

Replace lamp warning light goes on after raplacing it with the new lamp

I had the same problem. There is an internal reset button just above the lamp that needs to be reset. You have to take the cover off, which would void your warrantee, but it's quite easy. My lamp only had 660 hrs, and I bought a new one too. So now I have an extra. My guess is that my filter was getting clogged causing an overheating situation and tripping this reset button which I'm guessing is a heat sensor.
