On off switch not working

Tv will not go on with remote control. I have changed batteries twice with no result. I can however push the on off switch several times, hearing a clicking sound, not usual, and then hold for about 5 seconds and the tv will come on. by the way I can shut the tv off with the remote control.

My haier le32f2220 has A channel list box that pops up and I can't change channels. All remote buttons do nothing. Changed batteries twice. Anyone have this issue?

·Pull the batteries out from the remote control, and leave it out until step-4
·Press and release each and every button, one at a time on the remote control, until every button has been pressed and released at least once.
If the remote control have slide switches; move the switch to each position, then repeat the button pushing as in step-2. {When you've done, be sure to put the slide switch in the correct position to operate the unit the remote came with.}
·Put the batteries back.
·Try the remote.

The remote control has simply stopped working! The batteries have been changed! Nothing on the remote is accepted by the TV. There is no response, not even a flicker from the TV.

Hi there,

Try resetting your remote:

* Remove batteries
* Press each button on your remote, twice. (one button at a time). This should discharge any current left in the capacitors.
* Insert fresh batteries.

If the above fails, then your remote is faulty.

Im trying to reset my code for a sylvania 19 inch tv with my all for one URC-4605B01 remote control. I don't know the code for my tv and even if I did I don't know how to put it in with the remote. hope...

Hi There

The codes for Sylvania TVs for the URC-4605 remote are:

0054, 0030, 0171

To enter these codes manually please follow these instructions:

1. Switch the TV on.
2. Press the "TV" button on the One-for-All remote
3. Press and hold the "SET" button on the remote until the LED flashes twice, then release the "SET" button
4. Enter the first four-digit code listed above - 0 0 5 4 - using the numerical buttons on the remote.

The LED should flash twice to indicate that the code was accepted.

5. Aim the remote control towards the TV and press the "POWER" button once. The TV should switch off. If the TV does not switch off, please repeat steps 2 to 5 above, for the next code in the list.

If the TV switches off, please test the remote to make sure it controls the functions of the TV correctly - or at least as you would expect. If it works, please note the code somewhere easy to find at a later date - inside the battery compartment is a good place to keep this. If it does not work correctly, again repeat steps 2 to 5 above using the next code in the list.

Universal remotes can "forget" the code when the batteries are changed, so it's a good idea to change the batteries before re-programming the code to ensure that they are not a factor in your remote

If you cannot get these codes to work, it may be necessary to use the code search feature, or there may be a fault with your remote. If this is the case, please post back for further assitance.

Tv won't stop changing channels

You need to isolate the problem.
1) Unplug the set for a few seconds then plug it in.
2) Operate the TV with the control/buttons on the TV. (Channels etc)
If the TV operates correctly then do the following.
3) Try operating with the remote unit. If the problem returns then it's the remote failing.

Sometime remotes can be reset.
Try this;
Step 1- Pull the batteries out of the remote and leave them out until Step 4.
Step 2- Press and release each and every button one at a time on the remote control until every button has been pressed and released at least once!
Step 3- If your remote has slide switches, you must move the switch to each position then repeat the button pushing in Step 2.
(When you're done, be sure to put the slide switch in the correct position to operate the unit the remote came with!)
Step 4- Put the batteries back into the remote, being very careful to install them correctly.
New batteries should be used if you're not sure about the old ones.

Try it again. If the problem is still there then the remote is bad.
Since this is a new TV you should use your warranty to replace any bad parts.
