If your manualy setting the program and it kicks itself off, then your therm is bad, look for your warranty paperwork, or call the distributer and give them model and serial, they can point you in the right direction. If your setting a temp and not manualy holding, then it will set back by default. Check your other settings, ensure they work as well..

The comfort is achieved while still giving you the very best is efficiency. In some cases efficiency has been increased by up to 30% by simply installing this thermostat.

The fan can be programmed separately for increased comfort when running an electronic air cleaner or a humidifier. A 35% circulator mode is also available. Hold options will let you easily go on vacation or temporarily override the programmed settings. The vacation setting will even let you set it to go back to the schedule before you get home. There are also built in reminders for many of the things that need scheduled maintenance.

This thermostat will also allow you to run it from the power of your HVAC system or run it on battery power. Just hook up the common wire and the thermostat will run off of your HVAC system. The changeover of the unit from A/C to heat can be programmed to be either manual or automatic. Scheduling of the program can be done in many different ways. You can decide between 1 day, 7 day, 5+2, or 5+1+1, day. Four periods, 2 periods per day or nonprogrammable are all options also.

The keyboard can be locked completely or partially. With the purchase of additional sensors you can wire up remote indoor sensors. These can also be wired to average the temperature is you want to sample the temperature from more than one place. An outdoor sensor can be installed so that you can see from your thermostat the outdoor temperature.

A five year manufacturers warranty is standard and you will also get a thermostat that has earned the energy star rating.

Honeywell RTH7500D Thermostat

This Honeywell thermostat is a good medium priced thermostat that will give you many bells and whistles at a very good price. The programming is very easy to do and of course the thermostat is very reliable also.

The installation of this thermostat is very easy and if you need help with the installation you can go here to see the complete installation guide.

If you have lost your owners manual and need a copy of it you can go here

http://customer.honeywell.com/techlit/pdf/PackedLit/69-2222ES.pdf

With the help of these .pdf files you can get all the information that you need to install and troubleshoot your RTH7500D thermostat.
If you are replacing a thermostat make sure that you turn off power to your heating or air conditioning system BEFORE you start removing any wires. Failure to do so could cause you to burn out the 24v transformer of your system. Also make sure to mark all wires well before removal so that you know which wire went where and so that you can reinstall the old thermostat as it was if something goes wrong with the new installation.

For heat pump systems you WILL have to make some programming changes to the thermostat to get it to work with a heat pump system. Most all thermostats come programmed for conventional systems. This reprogramming is not difficult but is required for proper operation.

I have just moved home and we have a Honeywell CM61 Prog.Thermostat but no operating instructions. Can you help?

Push run program for a preset schedule, once in the schedule you can change times via up/down temp buttons, push next to set next schedule period and so on. Otherwise push hold temp or hold to overide the program and run as a regular stat, for more info 1800 honeywell or Google support.
