Question about Nikon D50 Digital Camera

Cannot take Picture...

Hi, I'm new to this camera which I purchased barely used off ebay. The problem is that when I first got it, I could take pictures, now when I try to take a picture there's this sign with a small capital (F)E E on the top right of the control panel. I could not find anything in the manual that could indicate to me what it meant...does anyone out there know??? Does it mean the lens is dirty? I'm desperate someone help! LisAh

Re: Cannot take Picture...

See p123 of the user Guide - it means that the lens you are using is not locked at the minimum aperture. So try setting it to the minimum aperture and see if that solves your problem. HTH JM

Camera (Lumix DMC FX01) does not turn on. I purchased a new battery and it charges but the camera will not turn on. The camera is like new and has rarely been used

believe it or not, take your camera and wack it into your open hand, with the screen side. Remove first all rings on your hand or you might loose your screen. If this does not work your camera for all practical purposes is toast, too expensive to get repaired. Sell it on ebay with: "screen not craked" and buy a replacement: 230505313571. I also love this camera and they often come up on ebay for <$50.

Replace LCD monitor on Sony DSLR a350

The You-Tube video is useful.
Care must be taken when removing the ribbon-cable connector from its mating half on the camera ribbon-cable.
The black strip on the mating connector has to be flipped back, away from the display ribbon, to release the display ribbon.
Then after locating the new ribbon fully home, the same black strip has to be flipped forward in the direction of the display ribbon and pressed down to clamp this connector in place. All this is shown, but quickly in the video.
Do not touch the bare surface of the new display or the inside surface of the removed display protective surface which has an optical coating which easly shows fingerprints.

Image Problems

Either your shutter, or the sub-mirror assembly is broken. Purchase a faulty/broken 350D from ebay and use the working parts from your camera on the broken one (i.e., get one with a shot mainboard). For disassembling follow this guide:

Good luck.

Camera not operating - cannot take picture

alkaline batteries?
please try lithium crv3 or lithium aa's, it may really do that even with a new set of alkaline aa's
if you're using ni-mh, make sure it's recharged and if it is, and it's still doing the same thing.. note that most ni-mh's life span is 300 charging cycles. if you barely use the rechargeable batteries, they can still deteriorate through time. if the rechargeable batteries are new, or say 6 month's old - that means the cam actually needs a repair

Nikon Coolpix L4

You have internal problems, possibly the ccd . Also there could be internal connections which have become loose.

Needs repair.

Nikno Coolpix L4

This may not be able to be fixed.
Sounds like internal trouble.
Could be a loose link internally. Could be some problem with the ccd sensor. If the colors change as you are trying to take a picture, then suspect the ccd sensor.
If it is the ccd, then Nikon may fix it for free.
I suggest you go to the Nikon website for your country, and call the (usually toll free) number for service and information.
Take care,
