I will assume it is a bright image not a ghost like hard to see one (that is backlighting)

Usually this happens when you have a loose cable. Wiggle the end on the montior and the other end on the computer and see if it changes. if it does then take the connector off and put it back on first to make sure it makes a good connection. Then tighten the screw down byhand finger tight (and NO tighter)

Much rarer are video driver problems or video card issues.

Negative effect on Bright areas of Monitor/TV

Try demagitizing the moniter. In the monitor's menu it will have a picture of a magnic , select it. Sometimes it is listed as degrous. After selecting this, your screen will seem to spin then settle. If your still have problems, a magnic may have come close to the moniter while it was being stored, and that will ruin the picture.

Screen Adjustment

On your monitor at the bottom there is 3 buttons. The one all the way to the left is the "menu" button. The next one (going right) is the "NEGATIVE" button. The next one (going right) is the "POSITIVE" button.

You can move your screen around. First, start by pressing the menu button. Then, a menu in blue, with a bunch of little white icons will appear. Next, go over two icons by pressing the positive button twice. Then, proceed to push in the "menu" button again. A bar will appear. By pressing your negative button, your screen will move left. Pressing your positive button will make your screen move right. Adjust your screen until the black on both sides are of even proportion. Then, press the menu button to return to the orginal menu you started at. Proceed to press your positive button two more times. Then, press your menu button. Then, once again, use your positive button, and your negative button to adjust your screen to even out the black on the top and bottom.
