When turned on everything looks like a negative photo, help

I don't know what device you have.
Settings > scroll down to System > Accessibility> uncheck 'Negative colors'
If there is such option. If not, your screen panel may be broken or some connection inside the device has come loose.

On the startup screen color negative

Hi, It's an unusual problem but I don't thinks it's hardware. Most likely a corrupted preference file. Remember the screen just displays what is sent to it. if the signal arriveing is reversed then you get what you are experiencing.Go to your Home Folder (the one with the house icon) and loctate the Library Folder. In there locate the preferences folder and look for

com.apple.universalaccess.plist

Locate it and put it in the trash.

make sure you have the screen showing the correct way around and then shut the computer down.

Restart and see what happens. If it's still the same, do the routine again but this time leave the screen in negative mode before shutting down.

Post back and let us know what happens.

What is causing my TV to display inverted colors, like a negative photograph? The picture of my LN46A530 LCD TV has degraded an it looks like if I was seeing a negative photo.

TV display inverted colors, like a negative photograph because defective panel. Mostly from T-con board. Replace T-con board.
I hope that will solve your problem.
Thanks.

My screen looks like a photo negative..I have a Toshiba Satellite.

Right click on your Desktop, click on Properties, then go to the Settings tab and set the color to 32 bit True Color.

It sounds to me like your display settings are set to monochrome/black and white.

Best Regards,

James

When you are on the print window at the end of the process, look for a "Preferences" or "Options", then look for tabs or other menus that say "Color" or some sort of "output" mode and see if there is a negative option you can disable.

HP Pavilion DV7 Display problem

How long have the colors on your display been "reversed/inverted" and looking like a negative....... Did you drop or damage the laptop in any way (sudden shock/bump)? Also, has it been allowed to overheat (if you run the laptop while it is sitting on a soft surface such as a bed, pillow, couch, etc it can allow the motherboard to overheat because it cannot get the airflow through the cooling system through the fan/vents because they are blocked). Have you checked to see if your laptop is included in the "HP Service Enhancement" program???

I had the same problem and found out that my kids had been messing with the remote control and put the screen saver on (not the first screen saver option but the second option which make it look kinda like a photo negative) i disabled it and got my normal picture back.

No real color picture, looks like an undeveloped negative, ghost

The pictures are indeed negative.  When scanning negatives or transparencies make sure you have the scanner set to the appropriate setting, otherwise simply Invert the colors in Photoshop, or similar photo editing software.
