Question about Televison & Video
When I set up, it goes through stations ( only up to 99 out of 125). I turn TV off per instruction, I wait for 30 minutes per instructions. When I turn TV back on, its on only channel 99 (fuzzy), but the yellow message on the bottom of the screen is not there. I press the TV guide button but nothing happens. TV guide plus has not been installed. I suspect it does not complete the set up. I have unplugged & replugged the system, and turn the TV on numerous times. Then the yellow message is then on the bottom of the screen setting the channels. I turn the TV off, wait 1/2 hr, turn the TV back on to again find it only, on fuzzy channel 99. The TV is appx 10 yrs old and the TV guide plus has always functioned. It has lost the TV guide plus at times, but I have reinstalled it easily. I have had this problem only for 2 wks. Can you help me?

Based on your post and subsequent comment, I am tempted to assume that your SC-RT 30 is somehow locked. You may need to do a full hard reset which is done by simply unplugging the unit from the mains for a couple of hours (overnight preferably). Thereafter pls try and you may have to do the initial set-up again.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
Thank you for using FixYa.

Try to see if you have 5volts for your EEPROM. If the voltage is normal try to replace your EEPROM or try to reprogram it. Your EEPROM is corrupted so that's why it will not store data.

Try this. I the control box under screen (with a door) is a botton TV/CABLE.HCR. Try pressing this button to get more channels. Mine was on TV, but needed CABLE. Best wishes.
