Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console
I don't know what it is but i have been all over the net and no one has any idea what the real culprit is. i get ps2 slims in my shop all the time that have dead drives, ie no response from the laser or the spindle when the lid is shut. i know the switches are good and the lasers work, as well as the spindles, have you had any luck fixing this problem? it usually happens after the ps2 has been dropped. let me know, it's really bugging me. thanks.
My PS2 has been played so long, let those PS2's run for a minute, usually it takes a minute or two kicking on for those, I have one that takes a while to kick on. If that doesn't work then you just can't do anything, sounds like something is just messed up, when I have a spare PS2 i'll drop it and see what happens for you.
