You have to either connect your PSP to a Wifi Hotspot using the internet connections settings in the options menu, or you can connect your PSP to a computer with internet, and then select the update option in the main menu.

the psp, unless you have a hack installed, will not be able to browse sites such as youtube, or facebook, or twitter because they require flash/java/enhanced memory[this is not the memory stick]it can however use facebook mobile or myspace mobile by typing in m.facebook/m.myspace.com -- Tips:
  • You may have to do this every time you are in a new area or surrounding that has wifi hotspots

Psp can't seem to pick up the internet

Hey loscino,

In order to connect to the internet using your PSP you do need access to both the internet and wireless networking devices, just like what you would normally find in an internet café's Wi-Fi hotspot or through a wireless local area network (WLAN).

Instructions on how to establish a network connection should be available in your owner's manual, or you can always check out the link I've provided below for more information:

http://www.us.playstation.com/Support/PSP/ConnectingToInternet/default.html

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron

How to get internet on my psp

Look its not necessary get internet on ur psp. Its how to connect to the internet on the psp. You are gonna need a wireless internet network. Usually at food restaurants, or at ur house. Its not like you can connect the psp with a cable to the internet. Its all wireless hottie262477. To find wireless go all the way to your left on the psp and turn on the wifi button. Then go ur settings and all the way down to network settings. From there click on infracture mode. And scan for wireless hotspots. Of course any wireless one that says it needs a wep code. Means that it has a password and if you don't know the password you can't necessarily access it. So use the no password hotspots. Also remember its very easy to connect a wireless network in your house as long as u have high speed internet. Now that you this u can enjoy ur psp and play online and use the web browser. Good luck Diego :-)

My psp

First, you must be in range of a Wifi hotspot (wireless local area network). You can adjust network setting to connect to an access point such as a Wi-Fi hotspot or the router on a wireless home network and save the network connections data on your PSP. Up to 10 connections can be saved.

Hotspots can be found in airports, hotels, restaurants, and at home if you have a wireless network. Once in range of the hotspot, go to "Settings" menu, >> "Network" Settings and press "X" Button. Select "Infrastructure Mode" and press X Button. Set up the "New Connection". For details about Infrastructure Mode set up, or Ad Hoc Mode set up, visit us.playstation.com.

Search for networks in range. You will usually need a signal of at least 40% to connect - the higher the percent, the connection will be faster. If the connection is successful, information about the network connection will appear. hope this helps.
