The error that appears when I try to take an image using the camera, or use the video is as follows:
Unable to capture.
Not enough momory.
Obviously a really annoying problem.
Please help!!! :)
This happens also because the RAM memory is full by programs opened before. For example, whenever you turn of any program or aplication like contacts or messages, it doesnt turn off at all by clicking the X, it remains opened and you have to go to Star, Set up, then click on Memory, then on running programs, and stop them. This way ram will be able to use the camera and store pics on storage card. Do this also when you see that camera looks like unfocused, its always the ram memory.
That is not an uncommon problem on this device. In order to fix the error, restart your device by powering the phone off, waiting 10 seconds, and turning it back on. This should clear the program storage memory of the device and allow you to capture images. If the problem persists, uninstall any programs that are not used, or purchase a removable storage card for the device.
If you opt for the removable storage, you will need to change the save settings for the camera feature. In order to adjust this setting, press the settings icon in camera mode, and select tools in the lower left corner. Select options, and the general tab. You can then change the "Save to" location to either "Storage Card" or "Main Memory".

The Camera may display the FORMAT Error if the inserted media is not formatted or if the media was formatted on a computer. This error may also display if the inserted media is not supported by the Camera. The maximum supported capacity and media used is Memory Stick Pro Duo with 1 or 2 GB.
If you've already captured the images in the Camera and the error message displays, then try to open different images captured in the Camera and check if the message appears for all the images.
If this happens with all the images, then remove and reinsert the MS (Memory Stick) in the Camera and check if it works. You may also try cleaning the MS terminals and also check if the Internal Memory of the Camera displays the error. If the issue persists, then insert the MS in the Computer slot and transfer all the images to the Computer. If the images appear normally in the Computer, then Format the media in the Camera. To Format the Memory Stick, select the Format option in the Memory Stick Tool Menu of the Camera. (Menu-->Setup-->Memory Stick Tool-->Format) Formatting the MS will delete all the files saved.
Sounds like some of the spaces on the card are becoming corrupted. How do you download? With the camera and USB cord, card inserted into reader on computer, or card inserted in a separate card reader? When you are finished downloading, do you use the "safely remove hardware" icon at the bottom right of your computer screen or do you just yank out the cord or card thereby causing the corruption?
Please see the following blog article, as it describes the use of a card reader as a much easier, faster, and less error prone way to download your photos. In fact there are several important reasons discussed in the article for using a card reader vice downloading from the camera. USB Card readers are also very inexpensive these day, with cost virtually not an issue:
the camera displays "Communication Error," when trying to download
images the main cause for this error is that there are more than 1000
images stored on the memory card. It is recommended if there are more
than 1000 images on the memory card, that you use a card reader to
acquire the images, or to delete images off of the memory so that there
are less than 1000 images to download from the memory card.
this is not the case, there are not 1000 or more images on the memory
card, try reconnecting the camera to abnother port on the computer, try
another cable or another computer. This error can also display when
connecting to a direct print printer. Please check with the printer
manufacturer for more information on this error.
Hi Alwyn, i had the same problem & had to reinstall everything & then it worked. However it does revert back to giving the same error code from time to time. I think its coz i bought my imate jamin from a firm in sydney over the internet. When i got it, it had no mms settings on it [i later discivered it was an 'import' so i had to delete all its software & reinstall everything from software off the net]. I've been through hundreds of dollars trying to solve this problem [i originally thought it was my desktop soo i bought a laptop to synch with & it did the same]. You just need to persist in re-setting up the bluetooth when it does it but remember to cancel all previous bluetooth settings.
I'll never buy an expensive phone off the net again - i'd prefer to pay $1000 from a shop rather than $900 of the net & have these problems.
