Is this a laptop question?
If this is related to an automobile, you do not remove the steering wheel to center it. A front end re-alignment is required to recenter the steering wheel.

I want to change the steering cartridge on a 1979 Chrysler Valiant Regal. How do I do it ?

I searched for a while and I found this website: http://www.valiant.org/electrical-diagrams.html
I hope it helps. If anything, you can go online and order a manual for it. Might be good to get the original owners manual. Good luck!

there might be a problem with the VGA driver. while booting, repeatedly press F8 until you get the boot options (black screen with white text) with your arrow keys, you select "boot in VGA mode"
then you can easily reinstall the video driver.

first step: lay the screen fully down, then pry the two speaker covers outward. You may have to move the screen around to get them out.
second step: lift the center section containing the power button upward.
third step: loosen the two small phillips screws that hold the keyboard on.
fourth step: gently lift the keyboard up. There is a ribbon cable that plugs into a socket. There is a liftable tab on either side of the socket. Gently pry them up to release the ribbon cable and thus the keyboard.

fifth step: The hard drive is now visible. It is held in by three screws: one on the left and two on the connector. Once these three screws have been removed you can lift the drive out.

Take the old drive out of the holder and remove the connector. Install connector onto the new drive then secure into the drive holder.

Remainder of assembly is reverse of disassembly.

You may need to pry the ribbon tabs up to ensure that the ribbon cable seats down fully. Once the ribbon cable is down, push down the tabs to lock the keyboard in securely.

hope this helps.
