If you remove the 2 screws on the right and left bottom plate and open the door and youll see 2 screws that panel will come off turn the oven on and you should see 2 burners on both sides and they should ignite.if they do and go right out you could have 2 problems.when the burners light they hit a probe called a flame sense.this probe plugs into a heat board and if the board doesnt sense the flame you will get a red no ignition light.clean the probes that sit right on the burners with sandpaper and see what happens,if that doesnt work if the unit has pilots clean the pilot orfice and if that doesnt work the heat board may be bad.how old is the unit?

Used oven yesterday..... worked perfect. Went to turn in on today.... ignitor glows, but oven burner will not light. Any suggestions?

ignitor loose capacity... in order for gas valve to open ignition level have to be not less then 3 A. if it less then ignitor will glows but gas valve want open... So you should replace ignitor, but if you have tools (electric meeter) check if it's less then 3A, you can check one of the two wire on ignitor...

My gas oven makes a noise

This is because the ignitor is starting to fail. The ignitor is probally just barely reaching the correct amp draw and soon will not light at all. For a free video on performing an amp draw test go to www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html this will walk you thru the testing procedure.

Gas stove the burners are working but the oven is

Hi, The ignitor in the oven does not spark. It glows and has to pull enough amps to open the safety gas valve. The most common issue with these ovens is the ignitor. It can glow red but not be strong enough to open the valve. Remove the bottom panel in the oven and you can see the ignitor.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Wall oven will not light

Remove the flame spreader panel to access the ignitor.
Place a clamp on amp meter on the ignitor wire and turn the oven on.
If you read less than 2.9 amps, replace the ignitor.
If you read 2.9 to 3.2 amps replace the gas safety valve.

Ignitor problem with gas oven

The spark ignition coil is failing. As this is an oven, it can be dangerous not to have a strong ignition spark. A gas buildup in the oven could cause an explosion.
You should replace the spark generator coil which is located at the back of the oven and is usually orange/black or blue in color. Ariston usually use ITW Ispracontrols ignition coils.

Amana gas range bake burner does not heat

Pull the bottom of the oven off. You will see 2 to 4 screws that hold the panel on. The ignitor is under there. Look at the ignitor carefully for breaks. I say carefully as the ignitor is very easy to break.
