If you have TCP/IP installed, run ipconfig/all from a Command Prompt window. (click Start, then Run, then type cmd in the text box.)
Type in ipconfig/all in the Command Prompt Windows.
The 12-digit Physical Address is the same as MAC address

This post ONLY applies if you are running a version of linux on you computer, NOT windows.
First, you need to get a shell/terminal open (try pressing ctrl+alt+t) Next, you need to figure out what interface you want to change the MAC address for, so type: ifconfig You should get a list of interfaces, with the names in a column on the left side. Look for the one that has the MAC address you want to change. The name might be something like "eth0", but not necessarily. Now that you have the name, what you want to type next is: ifconfig {name of the interface} down ifconfig {name of the interface} hw ether {your new MAC address} ifconfig {name of the interface} up
I just have to say this: make sure you DO NOT type the {curly braces} or anything in them. You probably didn't, but I needed to say it anyway.
Hope this helped!

It will connect to internet but when i try to go to a site it will not let me. it say problem occured because the network did not assign a network address to the computer

get in touch with the provider.and see what kinda network this is ...cause I believe that it is a Lan connection with a static IP and you need to know them in order to make the connection ...
second...if another conputer was used...and now you used the same Ip address and all...probably it is limited by the Mac address and you have to either use a program to change your lan card address(MAC) to match the old computer one ....or you need to communicate the new one to the provider to free the access...

Unable to connect to internet . wireless connection shows connected at 150 mphs, using repair function seems to hang up at acquiring network address

The wireless access point may have MAC address filtering turned on. This means, that only explicitly allowed network devices can fully connect. This is used to prevent unwanted guests in your network.
You must ask the administrator of the access point or router to add you to the allowed MAC address list. If it's your router, go to configuration and check if the MAC(physical) address allow/deny list is active.

Adding ipod touch to wgr614 network

In MAC Address binding, you should put the actual MAC Address of the iPod not the IP Address, they are different. Normally the MAC Address of the device can be seen on the sticker at the back of the device. Another way to identify the MAC address is go to Menu/Settings of the device and look for Device/System Information. MAC Adress usually have 12 hexadecimal characters (6 pairs). Now locate the MAC address of your device and enter that in the MAC Address Binding settings. That should work.
